So. It's mid -August and over here on the West Coast, the Pink's are in Puget's Sound, on their way to their natal rivers and streams. September is prime time for Pink's here, too.

Quicker release and less handling if you want those fish to survive!.

When they spawn, they'll die, anyway, unlike Steelhead,Char, and Atlantic Salmon.

Why release these fish to just die? Are they not good to eat?

Can you use a river anchor, I don't have spotlock?

@@kingsalmon5905 I talked to a guy that is a charter captain and fishes the run. He doesn't recommend using an anchor. Said you probably won't see it again if you do. He said you can drift and cast using your trolling motor to help slow you down, troll, or use a wall hook to tie off on the side of the power plant I believe. PM me and I'll send you a picture of the hook that he sent me. I've seen them tied to the building on KZread videos.
