I think this is one of the all-time great lead solos in rock guitar. It starts heavy and raw, grinding. Then it builds, but not too fast. It flies to the high registers, and spends a while there, melting your face. But the drops back reflectively. My one wish was that it took one last blazing resurgence like in Echos (Pink Floyd, Meddle) and set the world on fire with slide notes above the last fret.

One thing i like about David's solos, is he likes to let the notes ring, like Comfortably Numb too. Well played.

Love to see the youngins' appreciating my favorite band of all time.

I bought Dark Side CD over a year ago to play in my car, and I think I love it more now than I did way back. It made me happy and also a little sad, because almost all my family is dead now, and the music reminded me of a time when everyone was still alive and getting high to these great Gilmour sounds. I think my favorite is Great Gig in the Sky

Perfectly done cover of Time's solo. I just recently learned how to play this solo and its one of the most beautiful works from pink floyd... is really pleasant to see someone playin' it with a big smile. Keep up the great work, cheers from Brazil !

This solo is so feeling. You play so good.....wow! You are simply amazing........Don't ever stop pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I've play in bars 35 years and i made a two years tour, tribute to Pink Floyd. I was playing all David Guilmor's solos and with my experience i say that you young lady compare with the others, you have that little something special in your way of playing. You have it. You'll go far if you don't stop. If David sees that video, he will confirm. Take care.

The first four measures are an example of what makes Gilmour a legend. A few notes played with emotion, timing and a sense of melody.

But I've only been seriously playing again as a teenager I played all the time but I really only been playing now for the past few months and I can definitely hear a difference which makes me very happy. I don't care to join the band or anything like that I just want to play for myself
