The arena is just a load of concrete and stones. Not significant at all. Nature didn't see it as significant when Vesuvius spewed all over it. It's just the remains of a past civilisation.

Nothing can be like what it's like to think about when you play a note and you are just there in the note not worrying about the previous note you played or the next you will play. Truly a gifted musician.

Was so glad that Island and Rattle generated the three concert videos too. It's all Pink Floyd to me. I saw the About Face tour in the 80's and two Division Bell shows in the 90's. Thanks for the footage.

Ci credo che hai i brividi, io qui non , c,ero , ma in compenso in passato ho visto 2 volte i concerti dei Pink Floyd, la prima, nel tour A Momentany Lapse of Reason , nel lontano 1988 a Roma, mentre la seconda volta nel tour The Division Bell , a Modena nel 1994, mancava Roger Waters, ma vedere gli altri 3 Gilmour , Mason , e Wright e stato davvero una esperienza piu bella della mia vita

@@artysanmobileYes the sound is dubbed because the drone can't record audio. But David and the band were rehearsing in the night footage. You can see them on the large circle projector screen as well.

Does anyone know what the reception by the locals was like, the day after? I have viewed the DVD a thousand times a thousand and it appeared to be a brilliantly calm night, which i'm guessing that the sound would have travelled for miles and the light show (ohhh the light show) being magnificent, would have been seen from the horizon. Always wondered what the folks in the area thoughts were . .

Not sure what the locals think. My hotel was a few blocks away. On the night of 08.06.2016, they were rehearsing for a couple hours. I was on the hotel rooftop listening and watching the lights. I can only hear the bass from the drum. The night drone footage in the video was filmed the same night.

Anche se ufficialmente David Gilmour non ha abbandonato sua carriera di musicista il live at Pompeii del luglio 2016 ne ha sancito il punto di arrivo. Ha fatto bene a chiudere con i concerti dal vivo apprezzo molto tutto questo . Un vero signore che comprende quando giunge il tempo di fermarsi . Non come il Waters che ad 80 anni suonati si ostina al voler essere al centro della scena combinando casini . Meglio un' uscita onorevole e di stile che un ridicolo ripetersi
