Pineapple Soup: An exotic recipe from Indonesia

This pineapple soup is truly exotic and full of vitamins! The taste is indescribably delicious, because who has ever had pineapple in a soup? In this video I show you how I prepare my own pineapple soup. This recipe is healthy and completely without chemical additives. Lots of Indonesian dish are vegetarian/vegan as we often replaced milk with coconut milk and meat with tempeh/tofu/jackfruit.
Ich könnte es mir nicht vorstellen...aber die Neugier war zu groß...und ich muss sagen, es ist einfach mega lecker. Danke dafür...hatte es vor einiger Zeit nachgekocht und bin begeistert 🥰

THANKS AGAIN. I live right on a Kraut farm in Germany, and they also have a fruit plantation in Ghana and import all their fruit to sell at the local Aldi, Rewe and co. Fresh pineapple and fresh Kraut here I come!!! DANKE!!! If you are out and about, check if you can find Schumacher Sauerkraut or Spitzbüble. There are some great sauerkraut soups as well. I make them all the time.

I made this recipe today. I veered off the original a bit. I used Spitzkraut instead of Wirsing/Savoy Cabbage. I also added onions, garlic, coconut milk, red curry paste, and chicken that I marinated in some Asian seasonings. The pineapple was not overpowering as it was balanced out with the curry paste. It turned out delicious and gets a recall. We are soup and sandwich people, so next time I think I will serve this with some spring rolls in place of sandwiches. Cooking is good therapy! Thanks again!!!

Most of our Ananas in Germany comes imported from Indonesia :) I have this from a translated indonesian recipe book. 😋

@@Gesunde-Rezepte ooh i didnt know my country exported a lot of ananas to Germany, btw how much does ananas cost in germany? Here in Indonesia good ananas like in your video could cost around Rp. 8.000-25.000 (roughly $0.7-1.5) per piece.
Would coconut milk (the thick kind) taste ok as a substitute? Anyone try that?
