We fly our own damn planes. Your best line yet in all your videos. Great script, narration, and script. You are the man!
This is probably the most ambitious video you've done to date. Love the comparisons to other planes!
Excellent video, I would 2 important facts about the PC-12: 1) extremely low incident rate - extremely safe 2) trailing-arm landing gear - this allows to land on unprepared fields Simply looking at real world statistics from users, this plane is a masterpiece of aeronautical engineering.
Do the PC-24! Need to understand the cost of my “if I win the lottery” plans.
But avast! She floats! 😆 Edit - wasn’t expecting an F-35 comment - Too bad that thing doesn’t float given how many end up in the water!

Finally!!!! One suggestion for videos - would be interesting to see a financing chart of some kind. Interest payments, depreciation, etc. just a thought as many times that plays into the decision making process of buying something like this and it’d be cool to see how you pick the important parts away. Awesome video as always!!!!

Bingo. Including the cost of money is an important part of operating cost.
What a lot of people don’t keep in mind is the time spent on the ground due to mx or going from cold and black to mission ready. Both of which this plane excels at. Everything is easy to fix and the plane can have that prop spinning in 5 minutes if you hustle. For those who like their warranties tho, have fun lol their warranty center will keep your plane down for much longer than you’d care for. Get yourself an A&P and if they can source parts, you’re practically always mission ready.
Thank you very much, this is my favorite plane and complete walk around. This was your best work so far. On to the DC-3 review.

These videos are literally the highlight of my week!
Been enjoying your videos, thanks for putting both metric and imperial units ;)
the PC-12 is the most common aircraft at the FBO i work at, finally glad you’ve made a CW episode on it! :)
Great vid I’ve been waiting for this one for a while. It would be really cool to see the pipistrel panthera next since it has 3 versions and one of them is a hybrid so it would be really cool to see the cost differences.
The humor gets better every video, loved it!

KHHR->KSQL->KHHR almost every day on a PC-12 for a few months. As a passenger I preferred the King Air, and it wasn't because of the potty seat.

@@MB-cv5pz it was cheaper than SWA and a lot more flexible, especially over the course of a few months (SurfAir, I'm not affiliated). The king air was a full time company charter between two socal company offices. It was cheaper to fly us vs drive and spend the night.

@@matt_b... KSQL is south of me, by two cities (same county!), but not SoCal by any definition! Why is the King Air better? Did my discovery flight there and an airshow ride in an R44, and is probably where I’ll do my flight training.

@@PetesGuide Right. KHHR->KSQL-KHHR was one experience. The king air was another (SoCal only, much shorter trip KSBA-KSNA). Honestly the King Air felt like it was configured for more room and comfort. Nothing against SurfAir, but their configuration on the Pilatus was kind of crampt. If the PC12 were configured different, it surely would've been a toss up.

According to Wikipedia, Antonov 2 gross at 11993 Lbs and PC12 MTOW is 10450Lbs. Wonder if there's other single civilian prop plane heavier than that. And Excellent video!
@CompleteWalkaround

Thanks! Antonov AN2 sure is a big fella. 12,500 pounds is a common MTOW because its as big as you can go and remain in the 'small' weight class. Helps to keep fees down.

Me: When are you going to make the Kodiak video? CW: Let me introduce you to the PC-12. Me:😛
Excellent video! I think you should take a look at Pacific Aerospace PAC P-750 XSTOL. A turboprop single with a PT6 of about 4000lbs useful load, 140kt cruise speed, 1200nm range. It claims to have a take off roll of 721ft and a landing roll of only 543ft. Do you think this could compete against the Caravan?
@CompleteWalkaround
Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks. P750 is an interesting one. In this video I was talking payload instead of useful load which I usually talk about. This plane doesn't seem to specify it's max payload but we could guess. It has a landing weight of 7125, remove an hour of fuel left in the tank and a 170 pound pilot and we're about 3000 pounds max payload. That's if it has no further restrictions (which pc12 does). That's still pretty good. Though it flies at 140 knots only. And I think high wings are preferred for cargo handling and rough field landings. Does it come on floats? I don't think I've seen it on floats before.

I have over 1000 hours in a few PAC 750 aircraft. Comparing it to a PC12 is like comparing a Wilga to a Lear. They are not in the same category.

@@joeobrien3541 Which is why I was comparing it to a Caravan instead. In your experience how do the two hold up against each other?
@joeobrien3541
Жыл бұрын
@@emrebaskocak The Caravan is much more sturdily built, and higher quality in general. The PAC can be fun to fly, as it has a stick and is light, but it's basically like flying a tin can with a -34. Sourcing parts from New Zealand is, to put it nicely, a hassle. Many doublers have been "created" to reinforce under built structures.
I died laughing at that F-35 reference LOL!

@@reyesben Sure, if you have the money. Faster climb, same load capacity (18 jumper, 20 is possible but that's pushing it) but a bunch more expensive. Grand Caravan is better choice imho. About 20-22 min to 13.000 is good enough for me. Exit is exactly the same, side exit.
