the best part about you saying "louie is trying to kill me" is if you go in the piklopedia for both the titan dweevil and louie as a treasure it says he both operates on the same wavelength as bugs and that the titan dweevil is actually harmless so louie quite literally was trying to kill you by controlling it

perfect play while never losing a single purple will still not give you enough purples by the end of the game to get the Doomsday Apparatus. You get something like ~90 I think? So even while playing perfectly you still would need to run through 8 sublevels of a cave to farm those extra purples. But let's be honest, nobody plays Pikmin 2 perfectly.

3:30 you say this as a joke, but it deadass was a pot leaf in the og release, at least in the japan and north america releases. If I remember correctly, the japanese description from olimar alludes to it being pot.

Here's another captain to expand your dandori potential. But if you take your eyes off of either captain for more than 5 seconds, we'll drop a bomb on their pikmin.

“I think Louie needs to work on his dandori skills”. If you’ve ever beaten Pikmin 4, you’d know that he DEFINITELY DOES NOT.

Pikmin 2 is like dodgeball, very fun until either everyone teams up against you specifically, and/or all your team mates get themselves destroyed for stupid reasons. Also, the other team keeps cheating but the ref ignores it. Temporary enjoyment, accompanied by frustration, injustice, self-disappointment, actual pain and fear, and utter loathing for a couple particularly skilled opponents on the other team.

@@TIN_TevlevPikmin three is not a fan favorite, but not a bad game. Be warned that it goes super hard on the multitasking stuff. And ofc don’t force yourself to play it you’ll hate yourself.

While there is a fun challenge in trying to perfect your dandori, or strategy, Pikmin games are generally very lenient in that regard. In the first one, the 30 day limit allows you to get only one piece per day, and some parts includong the final boss part isn't necessary to beat the game, just not the best ending. Pikmin 2 is more aggressive with the combat, but the lack of days allows you to stockpile pikmin as much as you want, and it saves at every floor of a cave so you can hit that reset button if you feel you lost too many pikmin while still not losing much time. It also rearranges the floor (it's random placement), so you could get a better roll. Pikmin 3 adds a replay day mechanic, and limits the maximum amount of pikmin dead to an attack like crushing. Pikmin 4, besides the crush limit, adds a rewind button and removes the day limit to reduce stress. Out of these, Pikmin 2 combat oriented caves definetely hit the hardest, but you can always reset the floor if you feel the game was too harsh out of nowhere.

I'm glad someone played Pikmin 2, since I was more of a fan of the 2 player mode. I don't think I'm a Dandori expert either, but I do enjoy the games.

that is certainly an… unique way to kill the ranging bloyster besides that, it was certainly one chaotic gameplay with many deaths, especially whites (the intended method was to switch between the captains to have an opportunity to attack its tail thingy)

As my mandatory comment, these were absolutely hysterical to watch. Pikmin 2 has been a favorite for me since childhood. I'm not exactly sure if it was a blind playthrough or not but regardless it had me cracking up.

Just finished paying off the debt, and soon I’ll dive into the rest. At least my Dandori skills will improve even more with the constant challenge. Great video, man! For real, this really made me smile!

Pikmin 2 may not be for everyone, but at least you can say you did it. Definitely the most difficult to 100% of the three even though they have the most broken pikmin in the series so far at least for me. Still my favorite, but I feel pikmin 1 is the best first time experience and pikmin 3 is the best introduction to the series. Pikmin 2 is for masochists who enjoy the many unique bosses. Hope you play pikmin 4.

Wistful Wild Overworld is so fun, its a shame most of its dungeons ammount to rehashes of old layouts or even floors. But I guess it can be excused since there was like a way smaller delay between 1 and 2 than the nearly decade wait for both 3 and 4, working on the same engine and areas but still being so creative in what it does with treasures and its caves.
