Next time try to put grid about 10cm above the floor on the grid mesh and on the mesh wooden chips.

Are you using a specific type of Wood Chip? Also do you just clean up the dropping that collected around the perches or you raking it?

We are using beech wood wood chip, and we lay under the perches a wooden plank and that are we cleaningevery day

because of our phisical condition to clean, we use wood chips
