    Hats off to you Adrian P. The boxes looks neat. I wouldn't worry too much about the wire mesh. A good idea is to block off the space between the floor and last row so no cocks would get any ideas to nest on the floor. I'll stay tuned when you're pairing up your breeders. 👍🏼

    I would close the space on the bottom of the boxes. Just do grates to the breeding boxes, it will be easier to clean. I’m building similar ones myself. Looks good.

    The space will be closed off when I install the raised floors. I don’t like grates in the box, I want the babies to sort of grow in that environment. I think it helps build immunity. But thanx for the suggestion

    Nice work man! Idea- you can remove the subfloor, install plywood at the bottom of the floor framing this way you can keep your boxes up from the ground

    I have always said that keeping pigeons is like a disease and once it makes it under your skin, it stays there for life and even though you no longer have birds (yay for breeders and youtube videos) and totally understand when you say you can not help your self. Thanks for the update and looking forward to seeing the end result and all the birds paired up and breeding.

    @@AdrianP_loft Have not had my own birds for some thirty years now but have been rescuing and rehoming pigeons for a little while and a few mo0nths ago, I kept a pair that I liked and they have just hatched their first babies and I am excited about and I am also glad that I have a tiny yard which restricts the number of birds I can keep which for now is one pair and a few cages for the rescued birds

    For you and all your pigeon members . You need to watch the Walt Disney movie the pigeon that worked a miracle This was made in 1960 it is a touching movie about racing pigeons and a boy Unless you are a older pigeon lover like myself you never heard about this move watch it

    How many clutch you do on ur breader? Is it OK if the breeder gets 4th clutch? And what no# like ex. the 1st or 2nd, are the best for race? Sorry I'm a newbie.

  • @AdrianP_loft

    @AdrianP_loft

    3 rounds is plenty. If I decide I want a 4th round I will use pumpers. I don’t want to hurt the hens. Especially older hens. They will fall apart sooner then a young hen.

    @@AdrianP_loft nc info. Well you do have a lot of breeders tho so it does'nt make a big deal you will get plenty of birds for race. In my situation I only have 1 pair that's why I'm thinking I might overdo it for the bird and end up having weak birds as an outcome. Not into racing yet thou just starting a hubby. Watching and supporting you from the Philippines looking forward for your more updates on your birds😁

    I’m trying to keep my word man. I always find a way to justify my action but no more. If I said I will, I will lol. Just so hard reducing birds. Everything I have had bred well or raced super.
