Piers Morgan vs Vivek Ramaswamy on Israel-Hamas War: "You Would Get American Hostages Only?"

Ойын-сауық

Piers Morgan speaks to presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy in Las Vegas about the Israel-Hamas war and what he would do about the conflict in the Middle East if he was President, including whether or not he would send US military to Gaza to rescue hostages.
The pair also discuss how as President Vivek would act in the Ukraine-Russia conflict and whether he would give Vladimir Putin a deal, plus Piers asks if his opinion of Donald Trump has changed at all.

@sudoname posted: Here's my analysis for Vivek vs Trump, which seems to be the most common question in this election: 1. Vivek has a strong understanding of the constitution and the law. Trump failed his first term because he got duped by others. 2. Vivek has a better appeal to the younger generation. As a self-made entrepreneur and author of multiple books, Vivek can inspire more young people as a role-model. Most of the younger generation tends to vote Democratic - which proves Trump has failed in bringing the youth so far. 3. Vivek is more well-read, well-spoken and intelligent. His approach is more unifying and more relatable to both sides, as seen in his podcasts and debates with protesters. Trump's approach is crude and divisive, which is not good when we are this close to a civil war. 4. Vivek is self-funded, which allows him to speak on issues like eminent domain, ending affirmative action, etc. Trump is beholden by the mega donor class (Super PACs), who has invested a lot of money in Trump's legal cases and campaign - they will demand to cash in the cheque if he wins. 5. Vivek is promising to shut down corrupt government agencies. Trump is advocating for a new building for the FBI. 6. Vivek is more energetic (almost 330 events last year, hundreds of virtual summits and podcasts). Trump is very old (managed 30 events last year). The legal fights have drained him further. 7. Vivek does not like playing victim, his campaign is based off his gratitude. Trump's campaign (and his supporters) want vengeance, which is why their entire strategy is about playing victim. 8. There is a good chance that Trump will go to jail before elections. If that happens, it would not just embarrass Republicans, the entire country would be subject to ridicule. 9. Trump grew the economy by taking enormous debt (8 trillion) while lowering taxes & interest rates. These measures help the rich more than the poor, resulting in highest Debt/GDP ratio in US history. He cannot repeat these steps in his second term without turning the US bankrupt. Vivek's approach is about improving GDP and stabilizing the USD without playing with debt/taxes/interest rates. Think, people, think.

1:06:46 was absolutely brilliant. My brother used to bring this up in other areas of life and I didn’t understand why….now I realize no matter how “wise” adults seem to get, sometimes we get caught up with what we think we know or fantasy. Internationals say “I love America!” (Maybe a little less do to the media these days) But the truth is, there is a reason we have boarders. You need to understand what is means to be American and what are values are. If you don’t hold them, you don’t get to be a American. And this goes with casual association like Pierce as well.

But now he showed he's an isolasonist, particularly in his refusal to to support Israel militarily and other American involvement in different parts of the world. America benefits from an alliance with Israel as much as US benefits from a relationsipt with Taiwan. I'm disappointed, but I'm impressed how Piers punched holes into Vivek's views.

I think this interview was really interesting, and the people hounding Piers for asking loaded questions are misunderstanding this conversation. Piers has said many times on record that he will purposefully ask challenging, sometimes even inflammatory questions to get the absolute truth of the interviewee's perspective. Piers has been around for decades and he's seen/spoken with a large number of politicians, not excluding presidents or presidential candidates, for the pursuit of truth. I believe Piers was, in part, testing Vivek's ability to handle scrutiny and difficult questions while also dropping nuggets of wisdom and advice for the young candidate.

How you would imagine the states would be represented in the ukrainian parliament? Ukraine and most of European countries do not work like the US, that each state has their Congressmen - the party just runs for the election in the country and depending on how many people voted for them, that's how many deputees they will get. That's it. You do not care about how those votes are distributed, so this argument is beyond stupid. Not to mention, to add to the absurdity of this - Vivek says that they haven't been represented since 2014. You do realize that's when Russia invaded those regions and HELD THEIR OWN ELECTIONS? Do you seriously propose that Ukraine's military go back there with ballot boxes and try to also hold an election? :D On a region that declared itself sovereign (and defended that sovereignty with gunfire)? (under Russia's control, but theoretically sovereign) This argument makes entirely no sense.

To hear him say pharmaceutical products should never be mandated on the public despite his background was pleasantly surprising to me. Btw, he created Roviant to compete against Big Pharma, then sold his company when got pressured and refused to bend the knee to BLM. Instead he created Strive which competes with Black rock so companies can invest money without funding Woke ESG and DEI. He has a deep understanding of the Laws, Constitution and Political History. Israel and the region will never be peaceful unless there is a solution to the Palestinian state. The people who gave their lands to settle and they showed mercy what they did as a result. Now they're only occupying their lands. What US and UN are doing, this is what they are supposed to do. They are responsible for destroying this world. Palestinians have full rights to fight against Israeli illegal occupation.

My main concerns about Vivek was his ties to George Soros back in his college days (I believe he took a Soros funded scholarship at some point) which set some red flags off for me, but he has since been very VERY vocal about it and clarified it in hours of podcasting. The sheer amount of hours of content he’s put out during this race is so impressive and there’s not a single candidate that is offering that level of transparency. The dude is out working everybody.
