In Response to Netanyahu | Maajid Nawaz | EP 337

Maajid Nawaz launches this in-depth discussion with a rebuttal to Jordan Peterson's prior interview with PM Benjamin Netanyahu. From here they discuss the affinities and gaps between Islam, Judaism, and Christianity, and explore the origin of ideology, as well as the technocratic tower of babel we as a species seem to be constructing.
Maajid Nawaz is a British anti-extremist, political commentator, activist, and podcast host. He was recently “released” from his LBC radio show for his views on the covid 19 pandemic, and has roots as one of the original named members of the supposed Intellectual Dark Web, along with characters such as Douglas Murray, Ben Shapiro, and Jordan Peterson.
Dr Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: bit.ly/3KrWbS8

I agree. Jordans enthusiasm is a key part of his conversations, but it often interferes with the guest's time to formulate ideas. This conversation was noticeably different. And as a result, I got a lot of new Ideas (or another spin on ideas I heard before). If this was on purpose: good job Jordan :D I think, combined with your extremely broad range of guests (with unique ideas) this spirit can make your, already outstanding podcast, ... well, dangerously transforming... Or something like that^^

I am really greatful for all you have done, because without you I'm not sure this message would have ever been written. I was as low mentally as you could imagine. Jews and Muslims have always been at peace it’s Israel that tore it apart Muslims have always given Jews refuge and protection from Christian persecution that’s why 65% of Israeli Jews are from Muslim and Arab lands and why when Muslim Spain fell Jews left with Muslims to Morocco when Portugal started killing Jews then Jews came to turkey when the first crusaders came Jews fought with Muslims and when jerselum fell from Muslim control Jews were expelled and were allowed to return after 89 years when Muslims retook it under Saladin and also in 637ac when umar the second caliph of Islam for the first time led Muslims to conqueror Jerusalem and the whole Palestine and took Palestine from the Romans he allowed Jews to return and our sources mention he cried and fell to his knees and started cleaning it himself and soon the whole Arab army started cleaning it when he seen how the Roman’s turned the western wall to a dumpster site where they would put their feces and other garbage like imagine the leader of the Muslim world the most powerful man on the face of this earth is crying and cleaning the holy site of the Jews and also he asked the Christian high bishop “where are the Jews” and the Christian bishop said “ we killed or expelled them all or mostly all of them except a few” and umar said “ how can you expel the Jews, when some of our most blessed prophets were from them” and umar decreed that Jews were allowed to return and he wanted a former Jewish convert to Islam to bring 10 Jewish families and umar would pay for them to live there like the Jews survived because Muslim gave them protection from Christian europe if there was no Islam or Muslims then Christian’s would’ve conquered the whole Middle East and North Africa and they would’ve eventually exterminated the Jews but because of Muslims they could never do that because we would protect Jews with our own lives and Jews were apart of us and we have great respect for them and we worship the same god and we revere all the Jewish prophets & Jews were welcomed in Muslim lands and it’s was their home and they were apart of it like I seen Iraqi Jews cry when Iraq was getting invaded and Libyan Jews cry when Libya was getting invaded and I seen I video of a 80 year old Libyan jew saying “ they’re bombing Libya they’re bombing my country” and I swear that made me cry because Jews were apart of our societies and it’s sad Zionism and Zionist tricked and made them feel they were different and that their countries were not their countries and were Muslim countries and that they would never be welcomed you see all expulsion and attack on Jews in Muslim lands happened after Israel and Zionism started and Zionist are disgusting inhumane thieves and savages

We are sacred, and to remain so must remember this, and act in ways to encourage others to be so. Simple, but hard. The whole world is in our way, but only because we have been trying to be separate from it, instead of part of it.

  • @kjs1069

Totally. I too feel this after 53 yrs & connected with what he was saying regarding separation. Its so paradoxingly basic yet complicated to realise we are what we're experiencing, including everything & everyone in it. Hard to wrap your head around due to the illusion of physical reality. Thus faith. Once you understand why treat others the way you would like to be treated is the golden rule you can forgive them for they know not what they do.

Governments and pharma have agreed business terms to acquire sufficient doses of mRNA-based vaccines to inject every citizen ten (10) times over. Now, mRNA-based products force the cells of our body to express non-self proteins. Axiomatically, this will induce autoimmune attack upon whatever cell & tissue expresses the encoded protein. You do that 10 times over. What do you think might happen? Yes, I think that, too. Yet that’s our future.

@@leegrant7333 what I mean by babysitting, is that we can't select someone and then sit back. We need to select individuals that 1. Are representing us and we have a continued meaningful discourse with while they are in office. 2. Free us to make decisions on the local level. The solution to what's been going on is a civics engaged populace on the local level. Most things should be decided locally and very little top down authority. That also includes cutting nearly all taxes that are not local. Cut off the money and ability to dictate laws... Then it's left to people not to be lazy. If we can't be bothered and aren't educated and driven to create the communities we live in, then someone/government will occupy that open vacuum for power. It's tedious and involved. It requires every individual to be engaged. Then a representative system upwards of demarcated area that feels it's too large for more individuals or land to be included. (Pick a number of people/ square miles...). Regions then get represented. Each region has a majority local vote. Then that vote gets cast as one for the state---> national... This can be done live with transparency on all large scale policies or mandates. It should require public open discourse on the given issue for 1-3 weeks. With the platforms and tech we have, every shared community should have live chats, host town halls and discussions with the elected representative who is then obligated by law to provide services based on what the people decide. Voting on a frequent and transparent system where people can track their own votes and check the numbers against a registered population enrollment that is voluntary. Anyway..... it's simple, but would have moving parts and requires a lot of decentralized maintenance to insure integrity. Also highly decentralized. But then it requires a moral population with shared values that are dedicated to maintaining freedom.

Palestinian which were the high majority in that land, were not pushed out by war in 1948. (If they were, it would be sorta acceptable to them.) They were hustled out of their land under pretence of peace and promise of same land. While "allied powers" gave in unethical fashion and still give military might, nuclear power, intellectual property, financial aid to isreal to harm Arabs and others to keep games of politcal check. Its similar and a refined form of British East India company saying, hey we're just trading and are not turning Indians into replacements for slave trade and then took over and plundered them. At least folks who engage in war have the courage and honesty to say it is a war. This trickory of harming victims and then blaming the victims is unjustified. So you can falsely say someone mightier took over and oh it was Isreali land to begin with, when fact is, these are manipulations and lies to say heads I win and tails you lose. Lies cannot be turned into truth. Injustice, cannot be turned into something justifiable. Just becuase its your turn to deal the cards doesnt mean it will stay that way. I loved this entire conversation. I'm a Lebanese Christian, and I've seen the other end of exclusionary language that's used here in Lebanon where Israel is considered the enemy that needs to be exterminated in order for Palestinians to reclaim their land. Very well done by Nawaz who considering his background has never once mentioned any retaliation against the Jews and in fact has defended them during anti-Semitic waves. He is also dead-on about there being people on both sides who benefit from the continuation of the conflict, one of them being Hezbollah which uses it to create fear among his followers and maintain a grip on the Lebanese government. As for the topic of language and its lost context, I think this idea interestingly enough isn't a strange one to artists. An artist knows this diminishing effect of the destructive and analysing brain and avoids it as much as possible. Lots of painters refuse to post their renditions online, even for whatever viewing price, because not experiencing them in person is meaningless and removes the context of it. This is also similar to those who cannot stand using digital cameras and instead use the old Polaroids and like to feel the image in their hands after they've taken it. It's applicable to music as well, where hearing a song through earphones or the phone speaker loses so much of the full extent of musical information that you can hear in headphones or high-fidelity sound systems. I wish there were contributors who worked on reviving the lost meanings of the text in the same way that Nawaz did here. Because not only have we lost the context of Arabic, we've nearly stopped using it altogether.

God bless both of you. I have always loved that JP is a person who seeks the Truth. Minute 58 really stood out for me in this convo. When watching other news coverage of this political crisis, I've cringed every time someone called one side or the other "evil." That's the beginning of dehumanizing each other, when evil is in each of our hearts. our mission is to constantly keep our own selves in check. if each of us did that, the world would be a different place.

I didn't think so. When he mentioned the idea that Islam isn't accepted in the Christian civilization, I think that the conversation should have stopped right there for him to expand on what he meant. If he assumes that an apartheid civilization should be accepted by an open one, then I'd say he's got a few screws loose.

I felt humbled by this interview. It made me realize that I need to do a much better job of giving people an audience to help me understand their point of view. I know I dismiss people too easily when I don’t share their fundamental beliefs. It’s really about showing love, patience, respect and giving the gift of time to those who want to share their story. “Freely you have received, freely give”.

No, it's not about giving 'love'. Don't link it with a fleeting and fickle emotion such as love, because the minute you no longer have love, or the minute you actually feel hate, you'll no longer do it. It's about having a fundamental and genuine interest in the TRUTH. Once you have that, you'll need patience and respect. If you have a genuine interest in the truth, you'll want to engage with people instead of dismissing them, because you're actively seeking the truth. And hearing other people's views and opposite views is one of the best and most efficient ways to arrive at truths. If you engage with people with opposite views, you'll need patience and respect in order to hold a proper conversation, WITHOUT letting your emotions take control. Patience and respect will act as a deterrent to the rampart emotions that may arise from a heated debate / conversation. And throughout the conversation, your genuine interest in the truth, will be the driving force that allows you to navigate it.

I compliment and extend my regards to you for everytime sincerely trying to comprehend both sides of the discussion. Especailly the way you tread around mulim beliefs trying your best not to step over anyones feelings and or beliefs in the process of discussing matters that are sensitive and highly important. So i wish for your knowlege on all matters of importance to grow towards the ideas what would end up being correct and part of solutions to things the world have still have not found answers to. My salam Mr. Majid aswell, i also appreciate your way of trying to express the degree of truth that your belief and views hold, and i certainly appreciate your willingness to also be a voice of reason in times where states and governments are least pushed about such avenues to the problems in the world. I wish intelligent and honest people like yourselves prosper in thier good intent & endeavours to speak for voices that arent heard, for the assistance in the comprehension of people who dont understand the realities of the world around them and for the helping and enlightening of the ignorant members of society. ☀️

The “solution” to conflict in the Middle East is easy…temporary peace will come for a little while from a man pretending to be both the muslim and jewish messiah once Christians disappear, then more war will follow, then Jesus will appear and people will finally realize He is God. Otherwise, peace cannot happen in the Middle East…ever.

as a Palestinian starting from the bond of love is what we learned to do with our christian brothers. at least in most of Palestine. one strong example of that from my life is who my best friend was "before he moved to the USA AND gradually we lost connection" but during the 10-15 years we've known each other, the first 1 year of our friendship when it was all fresh we actually did not even know what is the religion of each other. although i am more on the agnostic front but i am still affected by my Islamic roots in the way i speak and behave and on the western world on the way i think. but, for the most part we never knew, asked or cared about the religion part of our lives as we started from a place of love and brotherhood. and it was only after the first year that i knew he was christian just because i went to visit his family to congratulate them on their new business. it was my first time in his house and it was clearly a christian house but i really did not think much of it at a time. and it did not come up to my mind until years later when all this charade started in the west and the US with all the woke cultures , radical feminism, other radical shit, the woke culture. and all of that struck me as weird to the point where i had one question. how can people hate each other before they even know each other ? there is only one simple answer to that question really which can be unpacked and studied and all that. but that simple metaphorical answer is, people have begun their introductions not by "hello i am ryan" but by "hello, i am a left/right wing" and again, i am being metaphorical here but i do believe we all understand exactly what i am referring to here. but i can't just figure out why this problem does not exist in Palestine, but does exist in the west and the US. i just can't figure it out but if there is one thing that's fundamentally different between Palestine and the west. it would be the effect of media and media platforms on people or maybe the usage of such platform. one of the biggest examples, no body uses twitter. people mostly use facebook and only people who usse their actual names are taken seriously and no one pays ANY ATTENTION to anyone not using their actual name and city. some girls are an exception as they shy away from using personal information but most don't. the sacrility of the word as DR peterson called it. in under-developed counties maybe and maybe just in Palestine. we simply very intrinsically connected to one's reputation. the reputation not of one's religion or political views, but by one's acts. my father's words were and still are very highly believed and regarded as he is an intellectual, he wrote books and most his books are published and distributed with profit or material gain and he's been sacrificing his life for a very long time for the country and the people to the point where he even lost his chance of becoming a very "rich and high political figure" because of an incident where he rejected a presidential decision to use firefighters to rebel a riot. and my father had the power to reject that and he said "we train and give our lives to save people, not injure them" the opposite of that would be a specific Palestinian politician who's been working for the good of the Israeli government damaging Palestinian lives AND he does not even hide it. and try to be modern and democratic so no one ever threatened him but his words are the opposite of believed or respected. now the reason i brought those 2 detailed example is this: if my father and that man are IN the US. what is really going to happen, is simply as follows: 1- if my father is right wing he would be loved or hated based on that, and if he is left wing he will be loved and hated based on that. 2- the same rules would apply to that devil of a man. so again, it comes back to the same problem. if Palestine in this whole dialogue here represents the developed world 10-20 years ago. then i don't understand how can or did the west go from crediting people based on their noble acts and started crediting people based on their "political agenda" and power. what happened in those 10-30 years in the west which caused people to forget respect, reputation, responsibility, sacrifice... all of that and most importantly love.

Accepting yourself just the way you are is something you should only do for a moment. It involves looking at reality, and if we don’t accept the truth about who we are when we take that moment to look, so that we can deal with what’s not right, then we won’t really look. We won’t really see. Seeing the truth, accepting the truth about yourself is the first step to making all the little changes moment to moment, day by day, from year to year, and throughout our lifetimes.
