Piers has said it so eloquently and so piercingly. I loved my Queen, not because she was a Queen, but because she was the very best of human kind. I am proud she was the embodiment of the United Kingdom and represented what we the British people are. One of the most faithful democracies in the world, respected, valued and for such a tiny plot of land, the British Isles, a beacon of hope, justice and compassion. That’s who we are, let’s never forget. God bless.

For us oldies the Queen was the big sister we loved and adored including in foreign lands such Swaziland, Basutoland, South Africa, Northern and Southern Rhodesia, Kenya, Ethiopia and many other countries which where at the time part of her realm - she was much revered everywhere. I remember my mother telling me as a four year old about her beloved Queen who lived in the far away country (England) from which my grandparents and her siblings had left for warmer climates. Her dedication and service to her nation & people was unrelenting and will remain unsurpassed. This is not a loss for Great Britain but for the world, and particularly for those of us that are part of the Commonwealth. I've ONLY known of this Queen, of her steadfastness, her tenacity, her resolve, her graciousness, her absolute epitome of what it means to be the Queen Mother of a Nation. I am deeply saddened. She may have gone home to collect her just reward in Heaven, but she will be forever in our hearts. May she rest truly in peace. Amen.
From Barcelona, my deepest condolences on the loss of this very great monarch and woman. May she rest in peace. She deserves a great place in History.
I’m 40 and British Asian I was born in Britain I’ve shed definitely more than one tear so far and that probably won’t be the last it’s a sad day for us and for the world she was such an amazing inspiration to young girls during the war she was a mechanic she was a mother a wife a grandmother she was the the person we saw every Christmas Day she is on our coins and we sang for her long life every time we belted out our national anthem my thoughts are with all the family and with us all it’s a sad time but we can all grieve together and look back at her great legacy
This is the best thing I've ever heard! Bravo to Piers. So articulate and respectful. We had to lose her sometime, but it's so sad now that the moment is finally here. I feel as if a family member has died. I'm Canadian, and though I am almost 69, she ruled longer than I have been alive. In school we sang God Save the Queen at assemblies, her portrait was on the wall of every classroom, and we all had the abominable task of DRAWING the Union Jack - rulers, red and blue pencils, getting all the proportions and angles exactly right or we'd have points taken off! Though her role became more ceremonial over the years, she remained a beloved figure who was hugely respected even by anti-monarchists. My husband likes to say "people die the way they live", and it is so true - her ending came with dignity and grace as the tide of her life finally went out, and throngs of people stood by and wept.
Stories of this Queen inspire us all. I remember where on a state visit to Africa a native charged at her and she simply stood her ground. Help was there soon enough, but she was pint sized courage.
You can tell that came straight from the heart thank you Piers

I don't think that I will ever, ever get used to thinking of a King Charles as the new British monarch. His opinions and political views have alienated quite a few people. To her royal majesty Queen Elizabeth II, congratulations and R.I.P you did an absolutely magnificent job as monarch.
I'm British from London. Never had any reason to care about the monarchy or support it as a system of institution. But The Queen has been a part of our identity and symbol of Britishness for my whole life. I am genuinely and terribly sad that she has passed.
Well said, Mr. Morgan. Many Americans are experiencing the loss as well. Queen Elizabeth has been an inspiration to people all over the world. She will be greatly missed. I doubt that there will ever be another like her.
What a heartfelt and lovely tribute by Piers . Oueen Elizabeth will be very much missed the world over who all loved and respected her . Rest in peace !!!!
I am a 70 Year old American but I can not imagine a world with out the Queen, she ways always there, always steady, always regal in stature and I will miss her presence on the world stage. Rest in peace you Nobel lady and may you be with Prince Phillip for ever and ever. God bless.

I can only imagine their joy at once again being together.. Love live the King, Charles. being Italian, there is no longer any memory of the monarchy here. I don't know how much she really represented the queen to the English people. but as Mr. Morgan says when one person alone makes up more than 30% of the entire American history. it means that this woman has had and forever marked history. As a Canadian with British grandparents it is a sad day for us and the world. Rest In Peace your Majesty.
I was born in the Dominican Republic my father was British and raised me to honor and respect the Monarchy. Im 75 years old and still remember he had a painting of the Queen and one of Winston Churchill. Job well done your Majesty rest in peace with your love Prince Phillips. Long live the King.
What a beautiful and heartfelt tribute. It brought me to tears. As an American I loved and respected your Queen.
I live in Belgium, and I mourn with you the passing of one of the greatest leaders of the XXth century and a family member to our own royal family. I feel more acutely for Prince Harry as, like him, I was on duty when my mother died years ago, being woken at 6 AM to hear the news from a phone call and being unable to get back before the morrow afternoon. I can feel how he must feel not being able to properly 'say goodbye'. I pray for all of your royal family and all my British friends in those difficult times. As Piers so well said, with her death we all lost a bit of our own heart.

Are you kidding! You feel sorry for that selfish prat? The queen asked the narcissist pair to overnight in balmoral castle this week whilst they were promoting themselves in the uk and Germany. THEY DECLINED TO VISIT THE QUEEN. The two events they attended were videoed for NETFLIX. But as it wasn’t allowed in balmoral and they couldn’t earn money from it they declined. THEY ARE SHOCKING And caused such stress to the queen. Even the podcasts this week were slating the way we do things in the UK. I suggest you don’t mention that pair who caused heartbreak 2 weeks before Prince Phillip died with Oprey W even though they were asked to delay the airing as he was dying. They refused. I’m this period of intense grief I suggest you and anyone else do not mention them. RIP The Queen
