Pierre Cardin Rapid Blake Stitched soles
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
These shoes were in rough shape. One piece moulded soles were replaced with
Split welts, leather midsoles, JR soles, dovetail heels, leather stacked heels base, new footbed, new lining. Also these were Rapid Blake Stitched.

“I can’t leave this like that”.... Integrity and professionalism. Well done!
Steve at beginning of video: “Well looks like it’s way more work than I quoted...gonna have to figure something out, I don’t know.” Steve at end of video: “We went ahead and crafted the gentleman a new pair bespoke loafers in addition to completely restoring the shoes he sent in. Whadda ya want from me, it was the right thing to do.”

I love how you go the extra mile to take care of your clients!!
Again, Steve: I remember (yup, I'm aging myself here) Pierre Cardin in the 1970"s - one of the first "designer" guys. Interesting men's cologne (!!!). The brand went through many changes and I tried to find new Pierre Cardin shoes. They do exist but don't have the name recognition of 45 years ago, nor the quality. What can I say? - this guy must really love these shoes to send them across the pond to be rebuilt, restored, refurbished because he loved them so. Good on you for making these better than new in the day they were made and better than the new he could buy now. Your barbershop trip was amazing! Thank You. (and I'm an old lady now)...
I yelled "rapid blake" when you asked. I was paying attention 👍
Hello from Scotland 🏴 I knew that lining was coming out
That's a perfect demonstration of how to make a beautiful silk purse out of a pig's ear Steve.
Hello Steve 🙋🏿♀️. I love watching you restore shoe's. It like watching A skilled surgeon. THE shoe's are beautiful. Thanks for taking US along to the BARBER SHOP. YOUR HAIR CUT IS VERY NICE. HAVE A BLESSED AWESOME AMAZING WONDERFUL DAY ‼️🙋🏿♀️💕☮️✝️🛐💜🖐🏼👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯🍎 STAY SAFE OUT THERE ‼️😃.
They looked like rubbish in the beginning then the magic hammer came out you waved it a few times then bam repaired restored and upgraded to better than when they were new great work Steve the customer is one lucky guy 👍
"I'm not talking for no reason...y'all better be paying attention!!" Took me straight back to 5th grade😁😂 Awesome restoration🙌🏾
I do not know which is greater: your generosity and kindness; your principles; your incredible skills. You are a wonderful person!

Yes I agree ☺
Steve, I own an automotive parts restoration business. Often times I run into issues with parts where I can half ass it or fix it correctly. In most cases, the customer wouldn't know either way. A quote I remember is "do the right thing, even when others are not watching". Thus, I always fix it right, even when it costs me the money. Integrity is an important quality and you demonstrated it when you fixed the lining. Well done!

Internationally known! I can tell that the reaction video would have the poor guy in absolute tears of joy! Steve has set a standard of care for beloved shoes, and consistently delivers! I hope the rest of the cobbler/shoe remanufacturer community takes notice! There are people out here that aren't really concerned about price, but quality. Steve Delivers! It's Hammer Time! (P.S. I love the new macro lens for close-ups! FANTASTIC!)
I have an old pair of inexpensive Fluvog Angles with similar construction that I've been curious about seeing 'Bedos-ized", and this was a nice proxy. I love watching you take a cool looking, but inexpensive pair of shoes and turn them into well crafted, high end footwear. That customer clearly loved those shoes, and now they'll last for years.
I had to laugh when you did that silly thing and set fire to your thumb, but Steve you are such a smashing guy great sense of humour , hair cut very chic, and those shoes talk about the extra mile you go to make them absolutely amazing, our very best wishes from Lockdown Reading England 🏴 xx❤️
Steve, I just want you to know that you are very entertaining. I look forward to all the knowledge you have as a cobbler! I like your hammer time and smart remarks and also when you say let’s continue!....I’m just a72 year old retired VN Veteran who enjoys your leatherwork!
11:30pm back home all the way from Nepal, but still couldn't get my eye off since your notification... had to see it. Great fan of your work man. Always appreciate the extra care you take. Great job. God bless you!
Awesome repair, first time looking double blake stitched. Nice hair cut. Keep healthy and feel awesome always 🖤💕
I trained as a Wheelwright and as part of that we made Harness. After watching your videos I will never complain about making Bridles and Harnesses again. That is some very fine Craftsmanship you are demonstrating.
Steve never leaves a customer with anything but the best quality, not just in what he says he is going to do, but in doing what is really needed to give the best outcome for the shoe. Always a pleasure watching the master a work! And yes, I did say “It’s Hammer Time” ... and you did too.
Had to watch this again! It was such a new process to watch and the results were amazing! You “Bedo-Dazzled” it again!!
WOW! That was an incredible transformation. The owner gets a practically brand new shoe. Thanks, Steve, I enjoy watching your videos.
You're always taking it to the next level Steve! You truly are masterful! I really enjoyed your visit to the barber in what looks like was originally a little mid century modern motor lodge! Thank you for sharing you talent and expertise with the world! If you're not watching Steve Bedo, you have no idea what you are missing! Lisa
Steve, you restored these in to one beautiful pair of shoes! Your work ethic and commitment to craftmanship is inspiring!!! Oh...and I can't WAIT for the exposé this week!!!
That shoe is now better than it was brand new!!! You sir are a class act and couldn’t just leave that destroyed lining like that or with a simple patch job!!!! Another fabulous and informative video, TYFS!!! Oh yes and the old school barbershop across the street was fun to go visit and he did a great job!!!
Knowing you take Scottish customers I’ll need to start saving! Great video Steve. Great to see small business owners having pride in what they do and doing well!
“can’t leave this like that”.....is the right thing to say Steve, and it’s def appreciated to witness a gentleman with class. your clients are lucky
Always putting the customer first. Superb artistry yet again, and a nice haircut!

Love watching someone work who really enjoys what their doing. Love your videos Steve!
I had a pair of these back in the late 90's. I loved them very much and was saddened when they finally were swept away with most of my clothes during Katrina. Im so envious and jealous of that resto job! I'm sure the owner is a happy camper! Another great job!

Wonderful rebuild! I enjoyed the barbershop visit and you’re looking handsome!
Another Label with "panache", that charges far more than the actual goods' quality warrants. :>(( Steve, that work turned trash into treasure. OUTSTANDING!
Steve-it’s obvious you are a pro who totally cares about the customer and performing the job to the max! I’m sure the customer appreciates all the extras you are doing!
I can't get enough of the highly skilled craftsmen and women on KZread. I watch people making briar pipes, wagon wheels, suits, and repairing clocks, broken porcelain and all sorts. Steve is the doyen of cobblers. I'll be looking out for those shoes. Great vid kid, thanks for posting.
Great work! Thanks for sharing your art with us. That barbershop is awesome!!
Steve you are so entertaining. The part with setting welt on fire was hilarious 🤣
I love the color on those, I can see why he wanted them redone. Looks incredible I remember back in high school a lot of kids were fanatic about their cool tennis shoes. I'm glad I never hopped on that train because it helps me appreciate this that much more.
The shoes are money now! Always loved the look of thick sole. Makes it more luxurious. Great video as always!
Some shoes are like Leather Art Work, and you are the restoration specialist. When I hear your sewing machines working, it reminds me of so long ago when my Mom made clothes for rich people, very nice custom stuff. Nice part was even tho we were on the verge of being considered poor, I wore some of the best custom fit shirts, and you could not buy these shirts, they were hand made one of a kind. She was very talented.
Steve, always pay attention. Each video is a masterclass in leather crafts. Thank you for keep continuing to post these highly educational and entertaining videos. Regards and best wishes from across the pond .
I have not watched your videos for a while, I love the job you did on these shoes. Also love, love the barber shop! A true American shop! And you looked mighty good! Merry Christmas from Sun Valley, Idaho.
Thanks for the show and tell, a man and living the dream just shines through. willingly subscribed, thanks again.
Beautiful job. I found your channel a month ago,you do great work!!!
Another example of your extraordinary craftsmanship, Steve. Simply sublime! This also serves as an example of the levels of trickery some labels go to to make shoes appear to be well-constructed when all they did was glue a molded chunk of rubber onto the bottom of a shoe. Consider using Steve’s amassed video collection to identify the elements of a well-crafted shoe and try to leave the deceptive junk shoes on the store shelves. Trenton & Heath and Preston Soto also discuss how to identify quality in mens shoes. Thank you for enlightening us, Steve and thanks for showing how such shoes, notwithstanding the brand name, can be made into what they were attempting to imitate in the first place.
Thanks for taking us to your barber. I love your videos, it's like hanging out with an old friend
Steve, It looked like a well built shoe, until you started to unravel how it was made. Beautiful outcome !!! Thanks for the video.
Awesome clip joint and cut Steve ! l noticed a while back you had the handlebar stash working , it would be tight with the cut ! Loved the town tour please do more 🙏 Great build on the shoe , beautiful shoe !
Another one!!! You do incredible work Steve!!!
Beautiful work as always! A joy to watch.
Leather is the most amazing material. It is soft and hard and moldable and rigid and all the things. Watching you work with leather is like watching a sculptor take a lump of clay and shape and move the material into something beautiful. You are a true artist, Steve!
You are truly talented! Craftsman like yourself are far and few between. That's why for me, it's so mesmerizing watching you work. I sincerely hope you pass down your skill to the next generation coming up behind you. Take care, and God bless you, and your family.
Once I saw the condition of the lining I knew you couldn’t leave it like that.
Man! They came out so good. Loved the colour of the souls.
You gave this customer a brand new shoes using few pieces from his old shoes👍 Great Job Steve
Thankyou for your time Bedo. You are soothing in this crazy World.
“little hammer” time cracks me up 🤣. Shoes are 99% crafted from scratch. Keep these coming Steve 👍
Wow! A pair of shoes from across the pond.....here in Scotland! (I wonder if I know the guy)! Such a good and well known name let down by the construction of the shoes. Sheesh! Steve made them into a brilliant pair of shoes. Well done sir, you are indeed a star. Shine on
Great restoration Steve Let's continue (said this in a super high voice) you gave these shoes a new life
An awesome professional! Great work as always!
Loved this restoration--better than new, and will last the owner many more years to come. I'm thinking the gentleman from Scotland was very pleased with the results! And now I'm excited to see the next video featuring the "repair" from hell.
Glorious!! Phenomenal job once again!
I've been waiting to see you do a repair on this type of glued construction shoe. Very impressive. I have 2 pairs similar to this - its interesting how they're put together. As always, amazing job.
I’m a Tricker’s fan 😃 That was a nice detour with the barber’s and seeing your shop from the outside!
Once again, nice work Steve. ''lets continue''.
After the work looks very close to current model Imperial Florsheim with the thick soles and storm welt.
Great job as usual. Loved seeing inside the barber shop.
Your work reflects the man that you are a true artist.
Great area to work out of ... The barbershop was awesome as well ... Very entertaining vid Steve ...
I’m not a cobbler nor have I ever known one. As a matter fact of fact I couldn’t even be considered anything close to a “craftsman”of any sort, but I absolutely love your content. To see someone with so much talent and ability is encouraging beyond measure. Keep up the good work and keep on triggering those internet trolls! “Alright let’s continue”
Good to see you always on a good mood!!
Look, Steve, When people start sending you work from Scotland and other parts of the world, you have made it. Enjoy the level of pure craftsmanship that is so rare that few people can handle it . Steve don't forget about us on your journey to the top, we saw it first, and we thank for it, we love you brother. Maybe it's time to start teaching with on line courses or in house students, just an idea. Keep up the great work. Luv Ya Brother, from your first 100K subsrcibers.
Steve, another excellent repair!!! You look handsome, nice haircut. 😊
You always go the extra mile for your customers. Well done.
You made those shoes 1000 times better!! Nice haircut too!!😄
Absolutely amazing Steveroo...! They were in bad shape but as usual you dialed them IN...! Love the tour of the neighborhood and that GREAT American Barber shop... USA YES...! . Greg... IN
Hey Steve, always a pleasure seeing and watching u! As I have said, I remember going with my dad to a local cobbler and watching the men work as my dad talked and drank coke and peanuts.... yup peanuts In the coke. I miss the smell of the shop, yes I know a lot of it was the glue, but what the hey! Smelled good! Take card and I hope my Polo Ralph Loren leather jacket can be fixed. I sent the picture u requested. Take care and have a gr8 Christmas 🎄...
There's nothing that Steve don't know about shoes- Great Job and Video Man.- looking forward to the next 🔨🔨🔨👍
Love the walk of the neighborhood more of them please. And outstanding job amazing work thumbs up. From the UK
Hi Steve What can I say ? Wow AMAZING. I knew these were low budget but they are high end now. Can't wait to see them in person. When my wife bought me these back in year 2000 or so, we did not know anything about shoe construction nor did we have much spare cash either. She just bought them because she knew I would like the style. I see a few comments here getting all hung-up on the original low value of them, they kind of miss the whole point of what you (Steve) and I have done here. These shoes can no longer be compared to what they once were. I've seen all your videos and watched brand new high end quality shoes getting stripped down, you've found corners cut ie. fibre-board etc.. My shoes have none of that now and with my limited knowledge gained from you I feel I now have something to be proud of. I could have just gone out and bought a pair of the Trickers you mentioned. 1) Trickers get a sale they can manage without. 2) Bedo's doesn't get the work or the content we all like to watch. ( including the nay sayers). 3) I don't get to keep my favourite shoes. 4) I don't get to tick off my bucket list that I want Bedo-ised shoes.
