For CULTURED’s holiday cooking series, Pierce A reflects on a very busy 2023. The chef and recipe developer spent much of the year on a pop-up tour across the country and working with his collective, but as the year closes out, he’s learned the value of taking time off. “Since I’ve been in New York I’ve been very motivated to work all the time and I felt very pushed to work all the time … but I think this year I definitely tried to take some space. When you have that kind of lull, that’s when your brain really starts and true creativity comes,” he shared. Hear where Abernathy likes to dine on a night off, and watch him sample a new dish.
