I think the good thing is that she is famous enough to make a decent living out of her music at this point. And yet she still can have a normal life without bodyguards and crazy stalker fans. And even if she might personally hope for riches and fame I really doubt that she would be happier that way. So for her sake, I hope she remains just as famous as she is.

Two reasons, 1. She has real talent. 2. The girl can flat out sing. Just like Joe Bonamassa, industry people and music lovers know them, and they won't let the labels grind them up and spit out clones of whatever is selling. They do what's in their hearts, and we get to enjoy it.

Couldn't agree more! There's no pretense, no affectation, just herself giving it all that she has. I'd like to think that she doesn't take herself too seriously, but she takes her work very seriously.

This has to be one of the hardest songs for any woman to cover. You can not just sing this song, you have to wail it to do it justice. It has to be a feeling conveyed to words. I felt it. Excellent job.

I hardly believed that somebody could sing a convincing cover version of this song without the "road worn" voice of Janis Joplin as little as covering Ian Gillan in "Child in Time", but Miss Niemetz obviously made this squaring the circle. One of the most talented contemporary female singers at the moment, also because she sings with her heart and her soul. Just, how it should be. Thank you for this beautiful performance! This is real music and not what you hear in the Top Ten! Wherever.

Snuffy rocks. Sara sings this like a scary monster. Wonderful. This approach makes the song seem vitally important and in the moment. There are times for sensitivity and this wasn't one of them. It's all passion and assertiveness - an uppercut of raw talent. Pow!

Always love listening to Sara Niemietz, play and also her Whacky Wednesday antics. A breath of fresh air on the young music scene. She loves the old music and covers it great on top of her own original music.

To be fair, anyone who can do a Joplin song that well is going to sound wild. It's the nature of the song.

Never was a Janis fan, but Sara rocks this song.
