Just bought a keyboard at 57. Thank you. Luckily I have been playing a bad guitar since I was 15 so I have picked up a bit of music theory. I'm a slow study. I'm loving my new piano keyboard.

Just what I've been needing to thoroughly understand finger positions. Thank you. Jesus loves you all.

I can almost play with 2 hands! I have been practing 10 minutes a day for 8 days now so perhaps just a few more days to play this flawlessly.

I noticed a lot of comments were from people who were beginning their music journey later in life ..music comes from the heart...one can learn at any age 🎶🎹💙

Agreed,I started at age 35,and now at 55,I still play as well as compose music. Most people I associate with started as kids. Been a truck driver for 29 years and in my travels I'd stop at music stores to practice.

thank you. i took piano lessons as a child for 7 years and i want to remember the fingerings so that i can play again.

Same here. When I was a kid I started practicing and playing songs by ear on my own on an old and out-of-tune piano we had in a shed behind the house. My mom then made me take piano lessons on Saturdays, on top of regular school, which killed my interest in piano. When I became an adult living on my own, I bought a used Tyros (and a few other synths and gear) and continued to teach myself songs by ear. I don't know the first thing about scales or chords or reading music -- I just know to play this song, I play these notes in this order; and to play that song, I play those notes in that order, lol.

Is this the correct fingering? I was taught to tuck my thumb on F and G and not to use all five fingers because your pinky and thumb land naturally back on C If you tuck the thumb on F ascending and tuck the thumb on G when you descend. Am I playing the C scale wrong?

Theres no such thing as a sus 3 btw theres only sus 2 and sus 4. A Csus 2 is C D G and Csus 4 is C F G.

This is bloody difficult to do at same time. For whatever reason when I get to the fourth note on my left hand i want to instinctively play it with my thumb because im switching to my thumb on my right. I cant do the brain doing two things at same time.

I’ve been haunted by guitar app adds for years watches one piano lesson instantly gets piano ads smh🥴
