Best explanation of Evangelion angels I've heard. Most are confusing and incomplete explanations.

The Angels came from Adam because of the contact experiment which led the doors of guff to open temporarily until Adam was subdued by his own spear.

I don't know of anyone doing better at explaining evangelion then this guy. I don't know if it's the narrator himself whose the fan or someone on marvelous team but they've clearly done many re-watches and their homework.

Fiouf nearly forgot to like. You're the only one i've seen in years that explained properly wtf is evangelion.

The angels are awesome. But, I maintain that the antagonist of Evangelion is desolation.

This is a very well-crafted video and it's motivated me to watch evangelion again, as well as read the Dead Sea Scrolls. Thank you!

"Zeala" is the strangest way I have ever heard anyone pronounce "Seele" and I approve of it. As someone who has caught crap from weirdos in the past about my "Seelay" way in Eva and "Suhthuloo" for C'thulhu, keep doing it.

It's actually more or less the correct pronunciation. Seele is just the German word for soul, so the narrator is pronouncing it as they would I'd speaking German. Fun fact! :D

His pronunciation is pretty close to how it's supposed to be pronounced in German. Source: am Dutch and also speak German as a 3rd language.

Think there should be a correction. I think the 17th angel was looking for Adam (not Lilith), but it ends up finding Lilith in Terminal Dogma. That’s why it doesn’t start the Third Impact and asks Shinji to kill it.

I've long wondered whether SEELE was waking/building the Angel's, especially once watching the episode in which Kaowru is introduced.

This is much better than the first version of the video that you put out. Thank you for going and changing your pronunciations to the correct ones. There are a couple of things that were said as “some believe x”, when it was clearly stated as a fact within the show or movies. One main example being when you stated “some believe” that the Lillin are angels, when it’s purely a fact. Just some constructive criticism, but I really appreciate again that you went and corrected some things that were bad from the first video. 🤘

It’s explained in later installments that an ancient race from across the galaxy sent out space ships with the progenitors of the different races, to different planets, but Lilith’s ship went off course & came to earth, where Adam’s ship had come. The impact from Lilith’s ship “killed” Adam, and Lilith ended up spawning humans, while it was Adam who was supposed to spawn the “Angels” we see attacking.

Specifically because of individualistic souls like Gendo Ikari, probably. Those who would forsake the collective for personal gain. I'd assume that a Godlike race wouldn't want false Gods among them; those who have Godlike power, but not Godlike morality. Gendo was trying to forcefully achieve instrumentality through exploitation, instead of actually letting go of his ego to join the rest of the Lilim in true instrumentation. That said, I'm not totally sure how the Ancestral Race intended on "returning to life" without both seeds present on a planet. Maybe instrumentation is something that eventually happens once a society evolves enough? Like if the beings of knowledge advance enough, they could attain the seed of life, or if the beings of life advance enough, they can attain knowledge. Even if such evolution takes billions or trillions of years, that could still be a metaphorical nap in the eyes of a Godlike being.

Gotta say, I love all this new info I am learning from this dude, I’ve watched the Eva anime, not the movies or the after stuff, but I probably knew like 5% of this show according to these videos 😂😂. But god DAMN can I NOT STAND this dudes voice during the transitions. Going from calm explanation to “WHY DID THE ANGELS DO THIS THING!!!” Is really jarring man 😂

The transitions are tragic, that’s for sure. 😂 Please watch End of Evangelion and the rebuilds. Things can still be confusing and will require you to rewatch probably everything including the show again, but it’s so worth it.

The “far” is an acronym for “first ancestral race” so just calling them the far first ancestral race ist just saying the “far far” lol

Asuka fights the Mass Production Eva, which are the white winged Eva in EoE movie. Like Unit 00-02-03, all of the white winged Eva are born/made from the body of Adam. Do you remember the dummy plug system that Gendo activated when Shinji refused to fight Bardiel/Unit 03? It's what makes Unit 01 controllable and go berserk against Shinji will. Well, because of that technology and the fact that Seele realized Gendo was going to betray them, allowed Seele to create their own Eva that didn't require human souls or power cables. That's why even though Asuka kills all of them, the Mass Production Eva all reactivate/regenerate because of them having S2 drives.😅

Let me tell you this, a bible arch angel turned an entire pretty good size city to SALT. Biblically, accurate angels are a good low multiversul on the minium, letting loose a couple arch angels on them would just destroy the entire race much less someone like michael and well God forbid you unleash God himself, then it aint gonna be a massacre its gonna be a extinction event that cannot he stopped

I still dont get the evangelion lore. It is too confusing. Not your fault.

Good and informative writing, but the loud dramatic reading of each section's title is VERY jarring and doesn't fit right with the content. Almost stopped watching several times because of it, but wanted to see your content thru to the end.

Late to the party, but this is also the reason why doom guy wiped them out aside from demons
