Asians with strong English instruction during their basic education generally have neat penmanship. In our country, we were made to write a lot on paper and oftentimes, clean and efficient (read: tiny but still readable) penmanship can become an unannounced competition among students. I was even surprised one time when I saw a paper written by I strongly believe a "hillbilly" (people far removed from urbanized culture) whose spellings were funny but the penmanship was beautiful and clean.

Fun fact: Larissa Kelly is the fourth giant killer Andrew He defeated, and the third giant killer he defeated in a runaway! The first was Jonathan Fisher (who defeated 38 game champion Matt Amodio), the second was Eric Ahasic (who defeated 16 game champion Ryan Long), and the third was Sam Buttrey (who defeated Matt Amodio in the 2022 Tournament of Champions). Larissa Kelly defeated 19 game champion Jason Zuffranieri in the JIT quarterfinals.

It was. Don't let the scores fool you - $15,600 of Andrew's bank was off two Daily Doubles. Their Coryat scores were close: $19,200 (Andrew) and $16,800 (Larissa). (A Coryat is the player's score before FJ if wagering is removed. I got the scores from Andy Saunders at The Jeopardy Fan.)

I have a feeling either Amy or Andrew will win if Sam loses tomorrow but anything can happen. It will be delicious to potentially watch James Holzhauer lock out Yogesh at least once in the 2024 Masters.

@@manodakshin6020I don't know, I wouldn't exactly underestimate either Matt or Victoria if they win tomorrow. Matt in particular is sort of like a mini Ken and James and so I think he's honestly the favorite if he does win. That being said, I honestly hope the third contestant not named Amy or Andrew wins. It really does get tiring just watching the same matchups again and again, and I feel it would be a bit anticlimatic if one of the players relegated to this tournament from the Masters ends up making it back there anyway, especially since the other contestants were basically given next to zero preparation time from what I've been told.

Watched only because I got a notification, which I haven't had for a Jeopardy video in ages. My curiosity was piqued. So I guess Jeopardy has decided to go the old "let's turn something good into an IP franchise and destroy what was special about it" route. Too bad. Too many "stars". Too many tournaments. I'm a one-time winner from decades ago. The show has jumped the shark for me. I wish it would go back to its roots - the basic show most of the time, retiring champs after 5 wins, annual Tournament of Champions, annual college tournament, and done. MAYBE there could be a second/spinoff show for all the "star" players, celebrity contestants, and various tournament gimmicks. And now to try to stop notifications...

Not to mention the bigger problem which is that we're literally seeing the same matchups over and over again in such a short span of time. It's the equivalent of watching the same episodes from one TV show on repeat for 6 months.

If Sam won this game and Sam wins the next game, how would the finals have happened when both had the same name? If Matt Jackson wins the tournament, how would Masters work when Matt Amodio's part of the roster?

Good connection to force but Newton is the unit for all forces, while this was looking for a specific type of force. Hopefully billiard ball makes you think of rotations, which is what the correct response is about (change in rotation due to ground curvature).

Andrew was relegation to JIT because Matt Amodio won his last SF gameat Masters along with Mattea's strong performance against James in the 2nd SF game, since Andrew lost in the number of correct responses in the tiebreaker.

Because, after all, "never to miss" sounds so much more natural in modern English than " to never miss." Please explain why the split infinitive here is misleading or confusing. The goal is to communicate an idea, is it not? Is the idea miscommunicated by Mayim's line? Condition: You may not use the words "Latin" or "my 9th grade English teacher, Mrs. Cloysenheimer" in your explanation.
