Having been one of those who participated in animal based research and raised on a cattle ranch and living that "country boy" lifestyle (hunting/fishing), and years of medical training, there is a lot of blood on my hands, The day I came to grips with my participation in the cruelty was a very hard day, but I am forever grateful for seeing the light! Five years Vegan and no meds or medical issues at age 59 :) , and a guilt free conscience. Being a part of PCRM is therapeutic in a way for me. Thank You for being there for me and the animals!!

PCRM puts money to work!

Happy to hear about the change at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine regarding the removal of organs of living pigs. It's still reprehensible that they were doing what they were doing in the first place and refused to even speak to you all about it, but at least changes were made in the end, thanks to PCRM and everyone else who flooded those heartless people with thousands of e-mails. Here's hoping 2024 has a lot more victories in store.

3:48 I watched the navajo documentary. I really hope to see their progress one day, along with more native american documentaries that come our way - they hold the secrets to our food origins and culture!! We couldn't have thanksgiving and many crops we eat on a daily basis without them. Not only food origins - but how we can grow as vegans. So many say they don't have food options - and that's because our knowledge and growth has a gap with the vegan options we used to cultivate. Hopefully we'll tap into what's lost. I firmly believe in native american medicine as helping us find alternatives to medication via prevention wherever possible.

4:08 instead of investing in live animals - let's use technology for real human cadavers - in virtual and mixed reality. Animals - we're not non-human animals. It's degrading, dehumanizing, outdated, and confusing. Why learn about medicine for what's not specific to our own species? Makes no sense. XR (VR, MR, etc.) is the future and the way to go - and I'm all for investing in that direction. So many improvements can be made to the hololens if we try - and that's just the start. Let's get more companies involved, gamers too! PCRM - are you going into the vegan video game business?

The carnivore narrative must be stopped

Oh no here comes the negative Nancy. This is good news but, there seems to be a growing amount of people for the keto diet. I mean, when you have Gary Breka, changing Dana White of the UFC’s life, that speaks volumes. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been plant-based for eight years now. I don’t wish nothing bad on anybody, but I would like to start seeing these keto folks years later saying that it’s not working for them. There’s not a large volume of that happening right now.

I’m all for a plant based diet, but I’m not for the vegan activism I see here. Let’s stick to the science and diet facts.
