Photography is my scape from the boring life of an average life. It is something I do that is only mine. It is my form of expression, my art. I hope it becomes a profession, but if it doesn't, I will still keep doing it for me. Love your story, it is something I can relate to. Am a new subscriber!

Personally I will keep it as a hobby. I get out when I can or I make time if I'm really feeling the need to create. I mostly keep the good pics to myself and post decent generic shots on social media. Helps stay under the radar. I did sell some pics for a while but I stopped as I found it became about shooting for what I thought would sell instead of what I liked and they are very different things. Always enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing!

Lovely open hearted video. I was also bullied at school due to the fact my parents moved areas. I carried a few of those triggers into my adulthood and had a breakdown about 4 years ago. I opted to take a break for a few months due to the fact I couldn’t function. But one thing I did was to take a bus into the Peak District with my camera a d600 at that time or my lumix gx80 and loose myself. I could emerge myself as you say in nature and with the support around me I’m doing well now. But photography was an escapism focusing on shots rather than my problems. All good. I am really glad you are doing well now and it is good that photography played a part in your recovery, because it becomes an extra tool to lean into when times feel tough. Your comment is much appreciated. I am hoping to create some photography events in the future. The Peak District sounds like a wonderful spot. It would be great if you came along, it would be good to meet you 🌟😊
