Photo & Video For Beginners | TECH TALK

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Photo & Video for Beginners was a highly requested video by you lovelies on how to use your camera's manual settings. You'll learn how to get professional looking images & video by throwing the background out of focus (shallow depth of field), how to create slow motion blur and more! These settings are controlled with aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. All DSLR's have manual capabilities and some have a mid to high end point, however they all look different. I am a self taught photographer and now videographer which means I didn't go to school and hence my terminology may be a little off. But you get the idea:)

I barely comment on any video, but your tutorial video is so fun to watch, I was laughing and taking notes down at the same time. I also like how you make the tutorial so practical like you gave examples of how to use slow shutter speed to shoot sparklers and car lights. Cause honestly they are all figures and meaningless to me if you don't give me 1 or 2 examples for what effects they can achieve. I'm just not that smart that I can figure out myself. Anyway, thank you so much and I will keep watching your tutorial!

This was a great video. I know this video is older, and you probably know this now, but....I figured i'd mention it for others watching. My understanding of the aperture labeling is that f-stops are actually labeled as "f/x", where "x" is one of those so-called numbers. So the reason you get a small opening at f22 or a large opening at f4 is because f/22 is smaller than f/4. Example: if "f" were 1, then 1/22 would be smaller than 1/4. But thanks again for this. Needed to refresh myself and your lighting tutorials are superb!!!

I can not like this video enough! I search often about camera settings and aperture but most videos say its for beginners but they don't explain what aperture, Iso, and shutter speed, or even depth of field are or even how they work. Thank you for the informative video!

You should have been my photography lecturer at university. You said it so simple. It took me a while to figure out the relationship between f stops and shutter speed. Plus I had no idea what iso really did till I watched your video. Thanks.
