A few years back a german family had come to canada on vacation and rented an suv to tour around some. It was in BC i think that a car load of natives pulled beside then while driving and SHOT the father in the head. NO REASON ! He will be a vegetable for the rest of his life and a family destroyed. Just a few days ago in Ontario a native shot and killed a police officer who pulled over to help him get unstuck.. I work in a grocery store and had a guy about 70 y/o tell me he was a SEAL on SEAL Team 6, 7 AND 8. He was also assigned to 82nd Airborne. They retired him a year ago because he was blind due to his mask having a hole in it and he was gassed in Afghanistan. I guess he thought because I'm a women I didn't service 10 year in the Army, and I wouldn't know what he was talking about. Honestly, I don't think he knew what he was talking about.

In depot week 4 we got a long weekend home and one of the lads went and got a huge tattoo of the regiment that he was to join, he never even passed out of phase 1 training, lasted about 8 weeks. I often wonder what he tells people when they ask, does he tell them or does he lie? I'll never know.

In 2005 I worked armed security with a retiree, SE Asia veteran who was very calm, easy going. He did later open up about how some of our detail co-workers made bold, crazy combat tales. 😁 I did laugh too when he heard me discussing the "Phoenix" Program & asked me specifically about some details. This seems so familiar. - I once had a girlfriend who started buying me F-14 Tomcat, Top Gun fighter pilot stuff: T-shirts, hats, flags, bumper stickers, etc. She altered all my social media accounts making it look like I was a retired fighter pilot and Top Gun instructor, and changed a bunch of my old photos making it look like I wore Top Gun clothes and had Top Gun tattoos, etc. One night when I was asleep, she tattooed "Anytime Baby!" on my shoulder and I swear, she was so delusional that at one point her friends and family actually began to believe that I told her I was a world-famous Navy pilot and that I told her I became a Fighter Ace with 7 enemy kills over Libya, Iraq, the Gulf Of Sidra and many top-secret engagements, including how I was awarded numerous medals like the Distinguished Flying Cross & Service Medal, Navy Cross, Medal of Honor, 4 Purple Hearts, 2 Silver Stars, an Air Medal, etc. But just like this guy, I had nothing to do with it. Who knows how she got all the stuff in her head.

My dad is a Canadian US Navy Vietnam veteran. Served on the USS Enterprise for a Vietnam deployment. His dad and his grandfather served in the Canadian army during WW2 and WW1 respectively. Dude they come in all nationalities. I’m an American and My younger brother was going into marines but failed his UT(piss test) so they said nope. That didn’t stop him from wearing marine t-shirts and putting bumper sticker on his car and anytime someone asked he said yes I served. At first he couldn’t answer some of the questions asked of him but then he apparently studied info and had all the answers. He never did it in front of me because he knows I would never stand for that shit. Our dad served during Vietnam and my son is in 82nd Airborne. It’s disgraceful that people do that and I’ll never understand how that makes him feel better about himself I would feel worse.

@@DavidLLambertmobile after retiring in 2009 I was shocked when I learned how rampant stolen valor cases are out there! It’s figured that for every actual SEAL, there’s 300 fake ones! I’m an 11B (Infantry) and went to Sniper school and even that title has 100 to 1 on fakes! I saw one right before I retired, a civilian employee on the base was a retired Medical whatever and he was leading a PT session in a warehouse near where I worked and he had a black t-shirt with a huge yellow SNIPER tab on the chest. So I thought’Great, another fellow Grunt here, how rare” so I started talking to him and asked what year he went to the school and what system he was trained on, etc. that’s when he said “uhhhh, I’m not actually sniper qualified, I wear this to impress the new medical Officers”…I was stunned silent for a couple seconds then I burst out laughing! I don’t tell people of the schools I went to since it usually makes them start to act weird, even POG’s/REMF’s. Hell, before I retired, even wearing a CIB would intimidate non-Combat Arms MOS holders! Some POG units with re-classed 11 series who have CIB’s were told to remove their CIB from their uniform! Well, I wasn’t the one who told my recruiter; “I’ll take any job but Infantry” lol.

Don, you and Diane are so good together. Diane needs to run a program for woman on how to roll and jab and always enjoy each others company, even when they might be mad. Don some of the stuff you say and some of her responses Diane has are treasure for making a marriage survive, thru the good , the bad and the not so pleasant. My Facebook was "hacked" a couple of years ago. My brother posted a bunch of photo shopped images with my face on women's bodies, telling everyone I was "Transitioning". Not the first time I was "hacked". A friend of mine also got into my account and had me professing my love for Nancy Pelosi. The point here is that neither time, did either of them put up that I was a SEAL, or SPECOPS, or anything like that. In fact, it was all stuff to make fun of me, not boost me!

Ottawa Vet here. I see lots of BS here in Ottawa. With NDHQ, Pet, and Kingston, Lietrim and Dier Hill close by , they seem to come on Nov 11.

Literally none of this makes sense, including the idea that this Canadian was telling people he was a SEAL. That's the part that makes me wonder if he is telling half-truth. The first sentence that came out of his mouth told me he was Canadian and I immediately wondered how any of this is possible. 30 seconds in I wanted to just say "take a selfie and post it right now," but I also appreciate how you keep it interesting.

There was a Canadian US Army Ranger who went to prison for bank robbery if I'm not mistaken. Meaning he was a Ranger in our military but he was a Canadian citizen. I could be wrong.

@@zxyatiywariii8You don’t have to be an American to serve in the US military, as long as you have a green card. Second, the Navy does take foreign military into BUD/s school. It’s also possible some can be a dual citizen. I grew up on Ontario, just like my dad. His childhood best friend grew up next door to him in suburban Toronto but he had an American father and did have US Citizenship….he ended up serving in the US Navy.

Respectfully -- because I do agree with you, but -- it's not a competition. These guys are all equally fucked up, albeit some more than others.

A few years back here in Canada a guy who was a dutch national claimed he was a navy seal. I'm not military or a seal but I had to call the dude out. He went into a rambling inconsistent story but in the end he sounded crazy. Hope you keep doing this Don.

Not that that guy was real, but foreign militaries do send their personnel to go through BUD/s school. There are even students from foreign militaries at the US Naval Academy.

I never served in the military but I follow your Former buds videos exposing posers claiming to be navy seals. I recently was speaking with my son who lives in California and I told him if I was him, I'd try becoming a navy seal, I think he would make it. Anyway, I am a Canadian and behalf of Canada I apologize for this poser from Calgary. Keep up the good work brother.
