I served with many guys (mostly Caribbean countries) not citizens of U.S. As a group, I feel they were above average sailors. I also hope that helped them to eventually become citizens. Unless you are natives of this country, that’s how most of us got here.

I'm seeing that lol. I've been wondering ever since I found his channel how he treats or reacts to actual Seals! I imagine with his seek and destroy mentality towards phonies that it bleeds into his interaction with Actual Seals. It would appear that unless he knows a Seal personally through interaction he treats them as phonies until they've been proven legit. Kinda reminds me of our judicial system Guilty until you've proven beyond a doubt that you are innocent.

@Electric Eye Slide: One of my best high school friends came to America from Italy in 1966. Paulo Paoletti. The only thing he could say in English was."Can I please bum a cigarette". We're still friend to this day & keep in touch. After we graduated high school in 1969, Paul was drafted in 1970 into the U.S Army even though he wasn't a citizen & immediately stationed in Vietnam for a tour of combat duty. Being a year younger I enlisted in the Air Force in Jan 1971, and couldn't have asked for better assignments. First in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon where I started a family, two years in the Azores where I lived off base with my family, and finally on the Oregon coast where we lived in base housing. It's been 52 years, and Paul still has nightmares about Vietnam.

Uhhh, I was being sarcastic. Shipley was talking with someone that sounded a little scattered. I talk with people like this all the time. They are incapable of carrying on a conversation because they can't, won't or lack the social ability to LISTEN so they tromp over anyone trying to interview them, giving disjointed and incomplete answers to only partially asked questions that they don't fully understand, along with a helping of irrelevant information. The situation is only exacerbated when they are speaking on the telephone. Mr. Vincenti sounds like he is a little forgetful and perhaps hard of hearing, and a rambling talker, which isn't uncommon for people in their 70s who suddenly feel like they've made a connection. Also, a lot of people who have spoken English as a second language for decades can suddenly start to struggle a bit with it past a certain age, further adding to the communication problem. Chief Shipley could have exercised more patience in teasing out the information required...but then as he mentions, perhaps it really was a long weekend and he was just tired himself. He did get a bit more respectful after he confirmed Mr. Vicenti's bona fides.

  • @scottnathanphoto

Honestly it was the other guy and Dons own fault he became so frustrated. The guy accusing him of being a fake seal fucked it up at first and then later on in the video where Don was talking to the Italian guy he asked him to spell his last name, He started to spell it and Don mistook him to be spelling his first name which frustrated Don and he said he didn't care about his first name to just spell his last but he was actually spelling his last name. Don being impatient and the other guy at the beginning of the call is what caused that whole debacle
