What's up guys, today I want to talk about property that is under $40000 in Phnom Penh. Today I will show you different properties in phnom penh that are good value and how big or small they are over there. How expensive are they in phnom penh? What are they like? There are many houses, apartments and condos that are available and freehold for foreigners to buy in Cambodia. Cambodia is still rapidly developing and looks similar to what Thailand was like 20 years ago. This video is going to show you show some properties that less than $40,000 in Phnom Penh.
Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s busy capital, sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists. On its walkable riverfront, lined with parks, restaurants and bars, are the ornate Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum, displaying artifacts from around the country. At the city’s heart is the massive, art deco Central Market.

Thank you very much for the video! Right now is probably not the best time to invest in real estate in Cambodia (especially in Phnom Penh, with strict lockdowns), since the property would most likely remain empty until the covid situation eventually improves and people can move more freely again...? Once the situation improves, what would the procedure(s) be for a foreigner to buy such properties, as shown in your video?
Very nice. One thing missing - monthly maintenance fees and taxes. That info would be very helpful to serious buyers considering Cambodia investment. Also any available financing would be useful. Thanks!

you should show some larger villas for rent. even ones for sale or a very long term lease. because there are many rich people in the world and when they can have a rich place to match they spend money in the area they live. and also invest in business too. one more thing marijauna is becoming legal all over the world now. i get that the police and government know its next to harmless far less harmful then wiskey and beer that are far more habit forming. so if they ever made it legal there and taxed it it would be a win win for everyone. and billions and billions would flow in every year in tax money for schools and a higher standard of living for all.

Very good video!!! At the present you can own a condo unit in the prime location or CBD zones ranging from $50k to $100k. Both local and foreigners can buy it.

I am looking for one. However, they always hide the hidden cost. One unit cost 80K and if I want it fully furnished it becomes 130K. Seriously 50 K for furnishing?

Yes, Cambodia is surprisingly expensive compared to Thailand and Vietnam, and not as clean. Cambodia has a long way to go.

I have seen a very good apartment and fully furnished but I think it will be a low floor unit. I just wonder, other than condos. Can a foreigner buy houses that are above shophouse unit, buy shophouse, those bocay houses (gated community) or villas. Cause they seem bigger and price lower but I don't think we can buy land or stay on ground floor.

You are right, foreigners can’t buy houses or lands ,but you can buy condos
If I understand correctly those condos around Russian’s market are only 99 years lease land after that your future families members will not keep them. Let me if I am incorrect.

I'm not sure about the Russian market condos you're talking about, but in general foreigners can own freehold condos as long as they they meet certain conditions, which most condos do, especially newer ones. Foreigners can't own land or houses freehold, they can only own condos freehold. I hope this helps!
