My wife just started using the Enigma setup with a Concealment Express holster. She thought it was a little over complicated and perhaps not as comfy as the bellyband she was using prior. BUT..... Yesterday we had a total trainwreck on horseback. She hit the ground and slid a ways (she's fine, a lil stiff, and an injured pride, but fine lol). But her P365 stayed securely in this rig. I had been urging something with better retention than her belly band for just situations like this - and the Enigma/Concealment Express did the trick!

I'm sorry to hear she left the saddle so abruptly, but glad she's okay and that she's done away with the bellyband! Have her join the PHLster Concealment Workshop on Facebook for more help with customization, there are tons of helpful comfort modifications being discussed over there :) You can also check out the "papoose" on PHLsters website.

Same here. This has all the relevant info I was looking for and it was clear and concise.

The Enigma is the way. Got mine today and I can say not only does it conceal better then the drawer full of holsters I hae, it feels more comfortable then any of them. I work from home and am in sweats most of the dime and I wanted a holster/band/frame that would feel just as comfortable and efffortless as my sweats. This is it!

The lighting, format, content flow, speed. Pro. First vid I've watched for this channel and I'm looking forward to more. I'm really glad to see more diversity in the youtube guntuber community.

Great review! Thank you for mentioning the benefit of this carry option and using the rest room. I'm sold on it now. Not having to remove your gun from your hip in the restroom is a huge benefit for both men and women. For men, you don't have to find a stall to discreetly remove your gun. I appreciate you bringing that up.

I like that you shared it with your husband. Its really helpful to see that it can not only work for male or female, but that adjustability over body shape and concealment needs.

I'm 4'9" tall and have a very short torso. I'm a runner but usually run on a treadmill. I would like to have the option of carrying if I choose to run outside. I'm looking at a good way to start concealed carry. I definitely appreciate the perspective of another smaller woman on this! Thank you for this!

@@robinslagle2293 I got the Dean Adams corset holster lite for my Smith and Wesson 9 Shield EZ. I've had it around a year but didn't carry for a couple months due to back injury. My torso is too short to do appendix carry. It was way too uncomfortable for me. So I switched to strong side carry. I'm a lefty so I found it most comfortable to carry around 9 or 10 o'clock. I got thin, short undershirts to wear under the corset holster for extra comfort. From what I can see with the Enigma, I think it can only be worn in the appendix position. I haven't tried to run in my corset holster but I saw another KZread channel (she equips herself) lady who's small and loves the corset holster. I think she's tried running in hers without trouble, but I'm not certain. I've been very happy with my holster as my EDC whenever I remember to carry 🤭☺️

Thank you so much for making this! I’m a woman too, about the same age and body type as you, and I’ve been wondering about wearing this holster with high waisted pants, which is mostly what I wear. You put it on with high waisted pants right at the beginning of the video, and I thought, “YES! This is what I needed to know!” Great video.

Tessah, I’m back again to say thanks for this video and the information on the Enigma. I have watched it numerous times in evaluating this innovative carry system to determine if I wanted to take the plunge. As I write these comments, I’m wearing the Enigma Standard with my Beretta PX4 Storm Compact Carry tucked into it, seated, watching TV in my gym wear and perfectly comfortable…more so than with any other system or holster rig I have ever tried…great system! Glad to hear that PHLster brought you aboard, you’ve done an excellent job for them even before the affiliation. Very informative, straight up videos inclusive of the pros and cons associated with the Enigma.

Your comment inspired me to look this up... I'm in the 13% of height and 1% of weight for guys, also a small person. It's been tough to find holster reviews that I find meaningful to my body type and that explains why! @@ashleyredden325 Yes! I did purchase the Enigma and I don’t regret it. The best part is that its very concealable and the process to put it together was fairly simple. There is also a company that sells accessories to add a little pizzas to the Enigma as well which I purchased. Let me know how it works out for you as well.

Hooray!!!! I finally bought my Enigma! It’s taken over 3 months of waiting and missing out when I left my Enigma item in my online shopping cart overnight, and after returning the following day to complete my purchase, it was gone!!! they were out of stock again!! At the advice of the customer service staff, I went back to the Phlster online store after 5 PM EST to find they were back in stock!!! If you snooze you will lose…Can hardly wait until it arrives in the mail!!😅🙏😊

Wish more women carried... but it's gotta be tough for women (and men) with a small frame. I'm tall and skinny (male) and couldn't conceal a P365 without a sweatshirt on. Glad they have a ton of options for women... just wish more women took advantage of them (by carrying).

It looks pretty functional, only downside I see is that it’s definitely not a easy on/off piece of gear.

Thanks for the review, I am sending this to my wife. She wants to start carrying but doesn't like any of the options.

I don't even unclip the leg strap to use the bathroom, I just slide it to a few inches lower on my leg and it's completely out of the way. SO nice not having to move the actual firearm at all in the process.

I wear mine fairly low (the way your hubby wears) and it makes drawing sort of difficult if I wear certain styled pants w/ a belt. Still, the best holster out there. My next upgrade will be the sports belt and the LEVU pouch system. I literally wear this holster every day.

Mine's getting delivered today. Super eager to take it for a spin. Love the content, and appreciate the efforts to normalize the armed lifestyle! Keep it up. #cantstopthesignal

Very useful review. As a female who is considering the concealed carry option (should it be made less onerous in my state), I want to know what equipment can be used with what clothes and under varying circumstances. Your review was spot on when it came to those real-world details. For the moment, all my handguns are a bit too bulky to permit effective concealed carry (unless masked by super bulky sweater or coat ughh) - Sig p229 and FN FNX 45 tactical -- but that 'problem' will be fixed with a 2022 purchase.

Thanks for the thorough description and showing the assembly. I want to get one of these.

Hey there. As a KZreadr myself I figured I’d share a few things with you, and hopefully be able to help you in some small way. I think your videos are GREAT. I follow several women KZreadrs because you’re able to shine a light into a specific area that I lack knowledge in. I’ve said this before but when I have Women approach me or ask me about holster options Tier1 Concealed is an obvious choice for me to recommend but sometimes based on the person, their situation and dress style, and there work environment a specific brand/holster may not be the best option for them. And what audience is better suited to talk about the specifics of women holsters and clothing other than a woman. I have highlighted some women accounts on my Instagram page and refer women to people like yourself that are seeking specific information. I recently interviewed a female shooter from one of the classes that I attended with field craft survival and I listed in the video description a link to all the women accounts that I follow so that women have really good place to seek information from a source of positive influencers in their journey into concealed carry. Perhaps you may already follow some of the accounts I have listed but there may be some that you don’t. Maybe there’s an opportunity for you girls to do collaboration videos, but anything that we can do collectively as a community to bring more women into shooting is a win across-the-board. I also want to give you encouragement that your channel is going to blow up. Women like yourself that have KZread channels covering these types of topics do really well in the Gun community and they grow really fast. Guys are always looking for ways to get their girlfriends/wives into shooting more and are constantly looking for Information to help them better better halfs. I have a relatively small KZread channel and a very small Instagram account but combined I have about a 15.5K reach and would be more than happy to share your channel with my audience in order to help drive some traffic to you. Again I think you do a fantastic job, I can tell that you are truthful and very passionate about what you do which is something I look forward to when I recommend women to other accounts for information. Keep up the great work, and you’ll be hitting big numbers in NO TIME.

I appreciate the video. I'm considering the Enigma and one con I can think of is that you can't easily remove the holster (as far as I can tell). Switching guns means switching holsters. Also, if I'm removing my gun in order to go into the post office or put it in a pistol safe for any other reason, I like to keep it in the holster for safety reasons.

Excellent review, IF and when I go apendix, this will be the holster of choice!

The smaller buckle is on the web site already! My daughter will be tiny when she is ready to carry concealed. I always wonder what gun I will pass on to her as opposed to my giant son. Thanks for your insight!

Can't go wrong giving your daughter a Sig-365. Plus, she can compete in three different shooting catagories in IDPA. Use the 10-round, flat base mag for BUG catagory. BUG is Back Up Gun. Use the 10-round finger tab magazine for CCP. CCP is Compact Carry Pistol. And the 12-round magazine with extention for SSP catagory. SSP is Stock Service Pistol. Three catagories with the same pistol.

Will need to send this to my wife and have her check it out.

i find it great for dress code places.. ie button up/tucked shirt. A belt just to tie the look together

Do you find yourself having to buy a larger pant size than you would if you weren't carrying? I'm very new to all this and really struggling with the idea of having room for something like this, or really any holster, on the inside of my jeans.

If your pants have absolutely no stretch to them, and they fit you perfectly, then you might have to switch things up. Fortunately, most jeans have a certain amount of built in stretch to make space for the addition of a gun. I haven't had to size up in anything. I wear the same size jeans I wore before I was carrying a gun :)

I have a S&W shield 40 with a crimson trace laser attched to the trigger guard. Do they custom design for this type of set up? I also wear western style tuck in shirts, can this be wornvon the side or set from the front, and does it conceal with a tucked in western shirt.
