Keep it simple and straightforward. Amen brother Phil. Share the gospel and love in everything that you do.

I disagree on the death part. My brother was not a good person (I.e. drugs, gangs and prostitution). Long story short he went into cardiac arrest, came back. He was in a coma for a couple of months, went to rehab and learned to walk and breath on his own. 5 months later he came home. Upon waking up, the first thing he mouthed and wrote was Bible. I’ve never seen anyone hold so tightly to the Bible. When he was able to speak, he said he went to hell. Sometimes, God gives us a 2nd chance not only to help us but to help others. He did prison ministry for awhile until he couldn’t. He has been left with some physical issues but he worships God, spreads the gospel and, hopefully, has brought others to Christ.

Best podcast going. To hear about the gospel from the Robertson’s in a simple way that speaks LOUDLY is refreshing. God works in amazing ways to bring us toward the light.

I am 57 years old and was raise in church. My mom and dad was preachers I was taught the Bible have been reading it my whole life. I learn new things almost on a daily basis. You never stop growing in the Lord and never get to a point that you know it all if you do you might need to check yourself.

Well, they should look in their own back yard first, because each Protestant acts as his or her own pope. There are millions of "popes" in Protestantism, and all of them are running around claiming that their personal opinion regarding the interpretation of Scripture is the truth. Are there really millions of truths? I thought Holy Scripture said there was only one truth. Martin Luther, the founder of Protestantism, lamented as he said these things after he had seen the damage that individual interpretation of Holy Scripture had done to his movement, "This one will not hear of Baptism, and that one denies the sacrament, another puts a world between this and the last day: some teach that Christ is not God, some say this, some say that: there are as many sects and creeds as there are heads. No yokel is so rude but when he has dreams and fancies, he thinks himself inspired by the Holy Ghost and must be a prophet."

@Laureen Mwangi you are 100% correct. The Catholic Church has adapted and changed the Bible to fit their religion over the course of time. It is not in line with the KJV. And not agreeing with how the current Pope manages the church and other Christians disagreeing doesn't mean it's anti-Catholic hate. It means that we are telling you that what you are worshipping doesn't align with Christianity, to include putting a man up on top and kneeling to him as a false idol. You only kneel before God.

@Laureen Mwangi Actually, the Catholic (Catholic meant "universal") Church was founded by Jesus Christ. Constantine joined the church after he became a Christian since it was the only Christian Church you could join at the time. Also, the Bible is a Catholic book compiled by a council of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church existed for 300 years before the Bible was written. If you have faith in the Bible, you automatically have put some faith in the Catholic Church. HISTORICAL FACTS!

The only person here on this earth capable of casting out demons is The Holy Spirit. When they said “didn’t WE cast out demons in your name” revealed they were taking God’s Glory. The Lord done the casting out of the demons they didn’t cast out anything. Doers of iniquity. Lord Jesus knows the intentions of the heart and motive behind every action.

Sometimes... When the Lord wants to bless you, He will put someone in your life. When the devil wants to curse you, he will put someone in your life. Think about it.

I am a devout Roman Catholic, and a long time fan of Duck Dynasty, where the family prayed before a meal, at the end of every episode. I honestly give thanks for Phil's UNASHAMED way of delivering Jesus to the masses.... So wonderful that GOD (and Pope Francis) is indeed uniting Christians - to be true disciples of Jesus and His word, in these fiercely fought "social media" wars, and very exhaustingly troubled times.

Read the NKJV Bible, starting with John. Believe what it tells you. Jesus Christ was there with God in the beginning. He came to earth as a baby, grew, taught the Bible and His disciples. He took on all the sin of the world, all of ours. He was killed on the cross and when He died, the veil in the temple was torn and the sky darkened and dead people came to life! Men said, “Surely this was the Son of God!” And then, three days later, He arose! He beat death! Believe this. Ask Him for forgiveness. And, follow Him. Study your Bible and meet with other Christians at a Bible-believing church. Such as what these guys preach; they are exactly right! Turn from your sins, forsake the sins of the Roman Catholic church (idolatry, praying to saints, etc), surrender to Christ in faith, who died for your sins and rose again on the third day. Don't confess your sins to a priest, confess them to God.

Those theology differences you're not talking about, the "semantics" include idolatry. Some may say the name Jesus but its a Jesus of their own making.

I think Phil did what God asked him to do which is preach the gospel to the messenger so as to potentially save him from falsely preaching. He planted a seed in him. Whether that seed grows or not is a different story. I do not believe Phil aligned with him. Phil just didn't enter into argument and afforded an opportunity to preach to him. God Bless you all! @@mrm3858 you didn't misunderstand. He choose to ignore their theological differences because they include certain aspects Phil agrees with. Muslims agree that Jesus existed, that he was a great prophet, He ascended to heaven but the differences make....all the difference, you wouldn't say to the Muslim go on out and talk about Jesus and only Jesus because they are not going to do that. They will deny He is the Son of God and that He died on the cross. Sooner or later that emissary is going to say Jesus a few times then teach you should pray to Mary and other dead people. And ignore what the Bible says to do. Those differences are leading to sin. He called those sinful differences, "semantics." Sin is NOT a semantic. Romans 16:17-18 17. Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

They will say it isn't true but a little bit of homework will show you otherwise. Pope Francis recently stated that homosexuality wasn't a sin and that you could enter heaven just as you are without repentance. Also easily researched. He also said Christ " sinned" against his parents when he stayed behind at the temple when he was twelve. That theology sounds intelligent except who is to determine the difference between right and almost right? The self-appointed role of being the arbiter of "Right" attracts those determined to separate rather than lead people into the light of Christ. Phil's message is one of humility and truth. I’ve followed Duck Dynasty and your family since the beginning and I’m a huge fan! I grew up in Canada and my father was a hunter, trapper and fisherman! I grew up in the woods with my dad! Thanks for all you do! I’m a life long Catholic and I was a nun for 15 years! I’m an ex nun now because I wasn’t good at it! 🤣 I’ve listened to your spiritual views over the years! I agree that we need to keep the GOAL as JESUS! SOMETIMES Catholics chase heaven and get involved with the sacraments! I found by doing this, my knowledge of scripture suffered! I like the Protestants because of their knowledge of scripture and the deeper message of Jesus...the GOOD NEWS! As I get older, my desire for scripture and getting to know Jesus more deeply has become stronger! I’m not a big supporter of the institutional Church anymore as much as I used to be...I’m not against them but I’ve been growing more and desiring that personal relationship with Jesus! Well said. I don't think it's any coincidence that Phil and his family were fishermen back in the day and have become fishermen for Jesus. I don't let it bother me, but some of these folks will make you believe that Jesus can forgive any sins except for being raised Catholic. I too have learned a lot from these gentlemen. I love their approach and it has set me on fire. I am enthusiastically studying the Bible thanks to there love of Jesus.

A friend of mine talked (alot) about her meeting Christ for the first time (my favorite testimonies now) and how wonderful it was and the joy and peace and feeling of freedom that came when she gave herself to Him. We were in the car together going from Ohio to Maine for a business convention. I knew I wanted that kind of relationship with Jesus. Sunday church service that weekend, I gave my heart to Jesus. BOOM!!

James 2:24 is the one time where "faith alone" is mentioned and it warns that we are NOT saved by "faith alone." And read the "Sermon on the Mount." Jesus clear as day states that we must follow the law of God the Father, which certainly includes our good "works." There are a plethora of other places in the bible where this is address and is it clear that by faith and following God's law (works) we are saved. "Faith alone" is a very dangerous theory. After all, Satan believes in God, but works against Him

We should never put our faith in people alone as they will disappoint. We have seen over the past that when we treat individuals like rock stars we will be disappointed. Pray that we are not mislead . God will impress on us who is trying to deceive. Many things on social media have a direct link with making money. We all have freedom of choice given by our Lord. Study the Bible for yourself and seek the truth, it will be given. There is only one God and no one on social media should think they have some special in that the rest of of us don't !! God has no favorites.

I converted to Catholicism a little over a decade ago, after bouncing around many protestant denominations, and I gained a lot of knowledge socially about the inner workings of churches. I say that to say this, Phil was the perfect person in the family to meet that emissary as a representative of your family And to have a verbal exchange of the gospel and ideology. Sorry, Jase but this is one of those moments where you got to sit back and watch the miracle unfold rather than be there to interject into the conversation

Yeah you guys missed it on this one. Catholics pray and worship Mary... they don’t believe in salvation in faith alone. They add works into it. The Pope affirms homosexuality. This is not good. Doctrine matters.

I must say this. Rome preaches a different gospel than we are thinking. I love you all brothers (Robertsons), but as long as Rome stands by the council of Trent (1st and 2nd), they are anathema (Read Galatians 1). We are not on the same team. Please understand that the purity of the Gospel message must be contended for (Jude 3). Grace and peace

Everyone in this age is allowed to have faith in what they believe, either Catholics or wrong or right, not my place to say but I can say there is only one saviour and one source you gain understanding from. Humans are known to have filthy hands and I can't see faith in that type of belief.

I am a Catholic here. Never speculate or assume what something will be like. I enjoy Phil, Al, and Jase. I am learning somethings from them. Along with my other studies. God Bless you Phil. One should never condemn something they know nothing about.

P.S. I was raised catholic and when I became a Christian alot of the things I had grown up with made sense...like Communion during Mass...We say through Him, with Him, in Him..In unity with the Holy Spirit,, All glory and honor are yours, Almighty Father.

The Pope says there are many ways to God...have you not seen the now infamous commercial WITH all the other religions? You guys need to repent of this now. Many will listen to you and think it's okay to team up with evil and be in HELL one day. I love ya guys and I'm heartbroken over this....

I like Dr. Carson, and i believe he is sincere in his faith. Let us pray Gods will be done.

I’m Roman Catholic and my wife’s dad is an Evangelical pastor. He loves me and I him and he see’s by my actions I love and serve the Lord without a question! We are a military family and have had many conversations about how ISIS would not care what type of follower of Jesus we were. We would both have our heads separated from our bodies. It’s sad to think there are Christians that could not find solidarity in at least that moment in time.

Unicorn horns? Where? Except on tapestries, they don’t exist. (Hint: Unicorns are biblical; a symbol of the Anointed One, Jesus Christ...just as the dragon is the symbol of the devil.)

And a quick Google show "Pope Clement VII offered a unicorn horn two cubits long to King Francis I of France at the wedding of his niece Catherine de' Medici in Marseille in October 1533" Obviously it's something else, but back then they believed they had a unicorn horn.

I agree. I grew up a believer, but had to go to the only decent school in our area, a Catholic school. Their beliefs and views are not inline with the Bible, in my humble opinion. I never prayed to the virgin statue or took part in their ceremonies. There were three other students that were not Catholic. We did not participate. I pray for everyone involved in the Catholic church.

There are four marks of the Church: *One:* it's the only church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ (Mt. 16:18), and we are all one in Christ Jesus (Gal. 3:28). *Holy:* the institution was formed by the Lord, upon St. Peter, and _specifically for_ the salvation of souls. *Catholic:* derived from the Greek word "καθολικός," meaning "universal." The Catholic Church has the wholeness of the faith (being that it was founded by the Lord). It lacks nothing where faith is concerned, and is meant for _everyone,_ regardless of their status in the world or the group they belong to. *Apostolic:* it's founded upon the Apostle St. Peter, and continues the traditions and teachings of the Apostles over the course of two thousand years. We shouldn't be turning away from that institution which upholds Christ's teachings within the body He founded simply because any specific member of said institution (Pope Francis, former Cardinal McCarrick, etc.) are corrupt. That would be like refusing to sup with the Lord because Judas sits at the same table. A wolf in sheep's clothing has no bearing on the fact that Jesus Christ is _the_ truth, and that His church upholds that fact. Those who deny the Church aren't hurting anyone but themselves. Now, for praying to our Blessed Virgin Mary: we do, and there's nothing wrong with it. There are three words one needs to know to have the full understanding of this. The first is "dulia," which is the reverence we have for the Saints and Angels. The next word is "hyperdulia," which is the level of veneration we have for the Theotokos as the mother of God. And lastly, "latria," which is the supreme worship of God, and God alone. So whilst we do pray otherwise, we only worship God.

@@barrjensen the Catholic Church gave you that Bible you’re thumping. Our Church proclaims the Bible from the pulpit every day of the year, day in, day out. A Catholic who attends Mass daily hears the Bible read all the way through every three years. A Catholic who attends daily Mass hears all 150 Psalms sung every month. We believe what the Bible teaches; all of it, not just what we like.

I was raised in the Catholic church & schools. I then became a non denominational Christian after accepting Jesus as my Lord & savior and believing in the Word of God. I've been to the Vatican and visited other catholic churches in Europe which I found very historic. I will say let us pray & have God give us eyes to see. There's great deception out there in the name of religion. This pope has shown who he stands for, befriends, seems to have Marxist views, nuff said. Many Catholics respect other popes before him but see this one as a communist.

Catholics don’t believe in Jesus, they believe in Mary a sinner and statues

I am a cradle Catholic and am active in my faith. Not only do I attend mass but I also enjoy going with my wife every week to the non-denominational church she is a member of. In fact I have decided to become a member as well. I have some issues with catholicism but am not turning my back on it. I just plain want to be all in with my faith. Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast as I do all of them. But this one especially because of how well Phil treats everyone regardless of their faith or background. Love God, love your neighbor. He lives it. Thank you all so much for bringing us the Word. As one of your neighbors I appreciate it very much.

Guys, thank you for your gracious words about the Catholic faith. Your podcast is a welcome place of light in times which seem to grow darker. This Catholic lady tells herself, "time to go to bible study with the duckmen! God bless you all! More and more I'm unashamed! Jesus, I trust in you!

Phil as a Catholic, not stanch but born and raised. I have to say I have never ever heard of someone coming from the Vatican as an emissary of the Pope. But, if he came and showed that we as Catholics believe just as you do, then he spoke the truth. One of the things we pray in Mass in "We believe in one holy catholic and apostolical Church " (important lower case ) Saying One we are all one in Christ. I have been studying this for a little while even thou I was born and raised, went to all the CCD classes, joined the choir, got married in the church went on to teach CCD. I lost my Husband a little over 10 years ago and I ranted and raved at our Father. He was very patient with me. (to fill in 2 grown handicapped children 2000 miles from any family) Until I picked up drinking as a vice to just cope with each day. One night I was ranting at my Father God and asking why why... No answer to why BUT He said to me with all the love of a Father "Rose you need to call someone now or you will be gone in a few days." Love, forgiveness, and time is what he gave me and then told me I needed to call for help. This is where I learned "God is Good All the time. "

@@heavenbound358 how many times does the word father appear in the New Testament not attributed to GOD? Paul calls himself the father of his disciples. Are you accusing Christ’s apostle of sin? Context is everything. That was hyperbole, when Christ said, “Call no man Father.” He was saying “Don’t call just anyone Father.”

I agree. I also was disappointed...anyone that doesn’t see that the Pope IS the false prophet of Revelation needs to ask God to remove the veil from their eyes. I’m happy Phil shared the gospel, but there needs to be better discernment.
