Please pray for a dear family member of ours on it. Been a decade and his mind seems to be gone. Once in awhile there's a glimpse of him but I fear Satan has stolen him away from us and his life and GOD most importantly. Please please pray for him to come out of it, for the stronghold to be released.

Great show! I miss hearing my grandpa tell their old hunting stories, he's gone on to Jesus now. Makes me feel good to hear Si's stories, and especially the shenanigans, which was just part of that generation of hungry rural people.

I love hearing hunting stories. I used to hunt furs back in the late 70s through the mid-80s. It paid the bills. We had 4 little boys from 4 to newborn when we started. My husband decided he didn't like to work. But he still like to eat and have electricity. He did some hunting as a hobby. We turned it into a job. We lived on the river. Plenty critters to disrobe. We had permission to be on the land we hunted. We more often than not were over limits. We usually hunted with dogs. Busybodies would hear when the dogs barked treed and call the game warden. Steve, the game warden, was a friend of my father-in-law and had known my husband since birth. He said he had to come when called but if he didn't find anything on us over legal limits he wouldn't do anything. We had stash spots scattered through the woods. We could make any harvest quickly. When he started up into the woods he'd shine his spotlight up in the woods and flash it 3 times. When things were in order we let him find us. Then he reported to neighbor that we were within limits and go on his way. Sometimes we were without licences. If that was the case everything disappeared and we were just running the dogs. There was a warehouse in town that sold fresh produce, seeds and bedding plants. In one corner there was a soda fountain and some tables. They had shakes,malts, sodas , sandwiches, burgers and chips. Upstairs he bought furs. Park in the back, come in the front, a nod of the head and you go down a hall with the owner and out back door. Take hides in and up back stairs. He'd sort grade, make an offer and if we accepted it paid us in cash. We'd buy a bag of burgers and go on our way. It wasn't the easiest job I've ever had. Especially since we hunted at night which meant dropping the boys at in-laws and having to wake them up to get them home later. But it is also one of the best memories of that period of time.
