Ahhh! 🥰 Love this song! A Supremes greatest hits 3 album set was my 1st purchase for my 1st turntable at 13 in early 70s. This was one of my favorite songs to replay over & over while I perfected my choreography in front of the mirror.🤭 When Phil recorded this song about 10 years later, at 23 I remember thinking... I wish I could be one of his back up girls & do my choreography; shaking my finger @ "you can't hurry love" and extending & retracting my arms/hands @ "it's a game of give & take" , hands on & rockin my hips @ "my momma said" , hands on my heart @ "a love to call my own"😆 ❤ Again, replayed it over & over doing my back up girl thang 😁🥰 Guess what... I'm doin my thang again today 🤭🥰 Never liked anyone else's cover of this song except for Phil. 👏❤ This performance is so cool with everyone wearing 😎 ❤ 😘⚘ to Phil & band 🥰

Must be quite the feeling to cover a song you loved from your childhood and have it become an unexpected worldwide smash. This was pretty much the song that was that first real foray to big things. In The Air Tonight was still just a one year old moderately successful FM play song. Missed Again was pretty close too but just didnt have the propulsion this song did.

My young generation 80’s,if vacan time in school we sing this together w/my close classmates,what a sweet memories 🥰
