I never would have thought of playing 'I Don't Care Anymore' with jazz chords and swing. Interesting arrangement. Phil seems to be into it and so am I. "In the Air Tonight" as an acoustical piece is fantastic. Nathan East on bass doesn't hurt at all.

It reminds me of how Eric Clapton rearranged Layla for his Unplugged appearance.

Looked this up just now due to a mention in Collins' autobiography. I had no idea he ever recorded an Unplugged performance.

Separate Lives at 22:01 Finally I found this video of this great song with 2 great background singers, Amy Keys and Arnold McCuller, in the fore. There are other versions on KZread from different concerts, but as time passed more and more embellishments had been added, making the song more dramatic and emotionally explosive. This version, on the other hand, preserves the quiet questioning anger and bitterness over a love that was cut like a bud, never seen to full bloom. I wish MTV could remaster the audio. I'd be the first one to buy digitally remastered release of this piece.

MTV was shoving "grunge" and hip hop down our collective throughts at the time so they didn't think Phil was worth the trouble.

Love it! Some songs lend themselves better to being softer, but they all sound great to me!

Hi, I am sorry for the poor audio quality of this concert. To be honest, I post very few concerts filmed for this reason, some are from my own collection and others were downloaded from KZread this is the case with this concert that I saved for my private setting and that I made available when the first video disappeared. I first download the video in mp4 with a very low quality mp3 audio bitrate (sorry I can't remember its bitrate but it was surely between mp3 96 and 128 kb/s) and I download only the audio in mp3 192 kb/s, then I synchronize everything and send it in 720p, from HD youtube offers its best audio quality in aac 192 kb/s. For my other videos, at the beginning I took my cd or vinyl in mp3 320 because I didn't know much about it, so all the "video statics" albums released in 2017 are based on mp3 320, but in order to obtain the best quality audio, since I work directly from my wav files. This unplugged by Phil Collins most certainly originated from a Vhs or betamax, but I'm not the owner of the original video sorry. Phil Collins channel regularly releases songs that all good fans must have in their collection, if he could edit this remastered concert, I would be happy and would happily remove my video. Thank you for your interest in audio quality, it's getting rare.

The quality of both the audio and the video is actually much better than the other video on YT which features only Separate Lives and not of the whole concert. You did a good job, thank you. Maybe it's an audio watermark of the video-editing software - if it's not the full version, software companies always do this to make you buy the fullversion. Again thank you for posting.
