totally agree. I love when they collab, too. Love all the indy and collab stuff she's done with Halocene, Babic et cetera tho, too. Very difficult to choose favorite combo-collab. This was great for Halloween/Samhain special release tho.

You haven't listened closely to the original version then. It's a sinister song even in the base version. Urban legend is it's about someone Phil saw dispose of someone - but couldn't get proof to turn them in.

What makes it work is Violet is digging into the darker elements without fundamentally changing the song.

I think I get the exclusion of 'the fill'. That would have been a point of familiarity and comfort in an otherwise dark, bleak, and forlorn rendition of this song. The fact that it wasn't there kept you waiting for something that never came and left you feeling just a little bit empty at the end. Genius!

One word. ART

Not sure if it's the the synth, vocals, or the visuals... Goosebumps every time.

I love the dark vibe you brought to this song. And Chucky being a part of it...AWESOME!!!

Four minutes and 54 seconds of goosebumps and a constant chill running down my spine. Amazing cover, perfect video!

I loved this, I'll be honest, usually I'm very wary when someone covers this song as it is one of my favourites, but you do an excellent job Violet and the Melodicka Bros. The video and the song go really well together, they both have dark and light moments i.e. the lyrics of the song, the music played, the style of singing as well as the whole dark magic rituals, suicide dramatisation, as well as the whole comedic romantic parts with Violet and the Chucky doll, the moments where they are watching movies, drinking tea together and the part with the tooth brushing is genius and shows that you can do dark stuff but still have moments of levity! Excellent cover and excellent video!

Wow this was dark, I know the original is technically a dark song too but this was on a whole different level, what an amazing cover.

She's given this track a brilliant re vamp.
