Pharmacogenomics; the Importance of the Individual | Kate Ragan | TEDxRockhill
Kate Ragan is a pharmacy student who looks beyond the medications. She knows firsthand how important genetics are and how big of an impact they can make, particularly in the treatment of an illness. She hopes to advance the healthcare field through the use of pharmacogenetics. Take a look at the importance of the individual. No two people are alike - and their medical treatments shouldn't be either. Kate Ragan of the UMKC School of Pharmacy explores how the emerging and exciting field of pharmacogenomics can reset our traditional approach to medicine. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I luv this Woman! I found out about Pharmacogenomics because I subscribe to the VA KZread Channel & a couple days ago a video on this topic notified me. And from the moment my inquiring mind said what is this, I bought in & have been resetting my life by it. I just luv this 21st Century❤️

That is a great question. Access to and interpretation of the actual test. With the plethora of tests available, navigating which test to choose for the individual will also be a role of the pharmacist.
Great
Woah!
So, when is this going to become practical? even at this time an age antibiotic prescription still is empirical, it does not matter if you know about first and second election antibiotics.
