Hi Blanca, thanks for that knee hi tip. I was cutting the stockings into strips and tying them. Your method gives more support and stays in place allowing the orchid to adhere to the tree much better. Love your videos.

Thank you! Great tips on your channel. I mounted my first orchid to a Christmas tree palm yesterday.. I live across Tamiami Trail from you on Marco Island. Iguanas gnawed cilantro in my herb garden to the ground, but seem to leave orchids and flowers alone.

Hi Blanca. I also have the most success when I attach my orchids to my palms. The only difference is that I tend to clean up the old media from the roots bc I find lots if dead roots in the center. Trial and error they do much better and they are healthier in the end. As always beautiful garden!

All my orchids, including my sharry Barry are in spike. Staying at home, it makes it a bit relaxing and focus on what I enjoy in life.

Is there a specific side of the palm you look to attach to? ie something with morning sun/afternoon shade?

When you mount your orchids onto a palm or tree do you have a small pouch of slow release fertilizer so that when it rains they get nutrients? Just wondering. Nice video.

Raciel Oliveros hi!! I get mine at orchid nurseries they grow in the wild but I don’t recommend you getting them like that because some places it’s against the law to remove them and also they might come with tiny insects. 😊 if you can purchase some it will multiply quickly

Beautiful orchids, thank you for sharing, I love ALL of your videos. One question, I have many orchids on my palms, but living on a lake brings iguanas out and they eat some of my orchids... any suggestions?

Thank you 💕💕 I am having an Issue with an iguana that keeps 💩 on my Pool jacuzzi. I haven’t had an issue so far with my orchids. I am starting to think that since the orchids are mounted it can’t grip on to munch on them. I’m hoping that’s the case 🙏🏻 I have no idea how to get rid of them 😢 hope I had a solution.

Sprinkle Red Pepper Flakes all over the mounted Orchids ! Also works on Squirrels. {eg}

Ps. eulophia graminea smells quite strong sweet like cattleya

Water them plenty of if doesn’t rain. Watch my last video I talk about all of that 😊😊

Trees are easy, I need a video to mount orchids on my head for lack of hair. Maybe I'll do a video when I figure it out for bald old coots like me... tee-hee 🤪
