I was just listening to the 3 tracks on your Bandcamp , this morning and was shocked when I see this track was now playable. It truly is an incredible track. I thought it may be totally ambient and was fine with that. The intro and build up is incredible and then it dropped and so did my jaw. Honestly, for me, these 4 tracks are pure perfection and I love the different styles you use. I was trying to find just 1 element of any of the tracks , that I don’t like and can’t find any. 😮 Ps would love it if you could do a limited Vinyl press for Album!

I think this was supposed to be quite a chilled tune when I put the first few sounds down, then I got a bit carried away and this is the result. I think in my mind I wanted to do something like the last track on Fallen Light, but just done a lot better! I would honestly love nothing more than for the recent releases to get a vinyl release, but with the way my sales are combined with the music landscape not really being as receptive to my music in general these days, I just honestly can't afford to take the loss on making them (or the storage costs when they sit in a box for the next 5 years). If I come into some money I will certainly press everything on vinyl again though!

I have many times and there seems to be 2 options. I do it conventionally via kickstarter thing, and arrange everything myself (probably the better option). But based on the vinyl sales of last 6 years or so, it still wouldn't be enough to hit the minimum order from a decent pressing plant. The other option is one of the ones where they do everything in house, where there's no real oversight for the mastering or quality control in general and the prices they quote are slightly dubious imo. I do appreciate most people just stick it on a shelf, so it doesn't matter if the vinyl is a bit rubbish, but I think it would bother me. If it was a few years ago I'd probably give it a go, but the music landscpe feels a little uncertain these days, so I'm slightly more risk adverse than I would have been previously. I am keeping an eye on developments for this side of things, but I think I'd rather put the money towards a new USA visa as they've also got more expensive too. I'll see though, i'm not ruling it out in the long run...

I appreciate that mate. I'll see how this year goes for me. I wouldn't have pressed vinyl in 2009/2010, which is a time which I think compares to where I'm at these days. If I was flying high circa 2012/2013, with a calendar full of upcoming shows and remix offers and radio plays coming in daily, I'd defintiely still be doing vinyl!
