Jim Diamond lived in my suburb. I would often chat to him. In1984 he was at number 1 with a song called " I should have known better " The live aid single had just been released and ever the spirited man he was Jim publicly pronounced ; " I don't want to be number one next week please buy the live aid single instead. " This came from an artist who, I believe had not had a number one before. Congratulating him years later he dismissed his philanthropy with a humorous reference to pennies in heaven. What a true gentleman he was.

Tenho 53 anos e uma filha linda de 12 anos, ela aprendeu a escutar essa música comigo, com certeza ela escutara para sempre tbem

A year or so before he died I tried to get the sheet music for a couple of his songs, contacted what I thought was his management but got a reply from Jim. I received a warm and helpful reply that showed what a real star he was. His music will live on, long after those that did him out of owning his music will live or be remembered.

One of the best Pop songs ever.... Worth a PhD!!!
