I absolutely agree. It was unwarranted, disrespectful and absolutely and inappropriate. Aging individuals have the same value as younger individuals.

I fell in love with Petula Clark the first time I heard her voice and saw her angelic face on television. Of course, I was in the 5th grade, but after all these years I am still stunned by her beauty and voice. What a classy lady. She will always be my favorite. God bless you Petula Clark. When they made you, they broke the mold.

I first saw petula Clark at Wimbledon theatre when she was a young girl. After the show I went to the stage door and saw her leave. I was very impressed with her performance. I am now 97years old and live in the borough of Epsom and Ewell. She is a great star.

She came in Montréal and she speak and sing in french. I'm almost 30 years Younger but I do remember when I saw her on TN and she reflected Joy and happiness.

Aging is a part of life. What does one expect? The real beauty is what is inside of a person through each age. Aging gracefully. Quit acting like a person is suppose to still look like they did when they were young. Again, the REAL BEAUTY THAT IS ON THE INSIDE IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT! SHE IS BEAUTIFUL!

This lady, and she is just that, represents a rare description these days, TALENT. Her age is irrelevant, her example is important and like so many who have passed recently, we shall never see her like again.

Pet Clark is one of the greatest female Singers (and enduring) Britain has ever produced! Multi-talented from a young child. What people never comment on, is during the sixties (the era she is best associated with) people tend to forget, that nearly 60 yeas ago, and in your late thirties - you were no chicken and knocking on a bit - and Petula was competing with a lot of young talent in tee Music Industry - particularly in the Charts; she did it with ease, and did not look out of place with all the young things, yet she’d been around and in the business long before many of her co-stars were even born! She had no problems with hit after hit! This was no easy feat! She really deserves some kind of an Award for that achievement alone! She’s great! I want to see her reach WAY past 100!

Thanks for covering her story. Most of the time older artist don't get any attention until they die. I hope she's around for another ten years 😀

I remember in 1967,she had a big hit with This is my song,a brilliant tune. Both my mum and myself loved it,so of course she went out and bought the 45. A class lady,she is really big here in Ireland as well

I saw her live in the Paris Theatre in London in the 1970s and it was one of the most memorable performances. The one thing I remember the most was she was a real lady.

While you got most of her career highlights correctly, your title is so rude and inappropriate. I saw Petula in Mary Poppins in London last November, on her 90th birthday. She sounded terrific and got a huge standing ovation during the curtain call.

She looks great! She always looked younger then her age! Your title is rude! Stop concentrating on age! Women are more than their skin!

She came to New Zealand and i loved seeing her live, truly one of the best female singers👏

The most amazing singer ever.

Downtown was just a truly fantastic song. I remember as a kid watching her sing it on TV. Fantastic.

Petula Clark has lived in France most of her adult life. Married a French man. Was hugely popular in France before she was known in USA. Strangely enough the video show Ms Clark as having started her career in the US with Downtown. Her greatest popular song was in French ''Je me sens bien auprès de toi'' (I feel good near you).

I love this! We are all the same. I did not know about her moment with Harry. I first saw Petula on TV as a child in the 60's singing her iconic song "Don't Sleep In The Subway." It's always been one of my favorites.

Met Petula back in the 1960's when she was appearing on the TV show "Thank your lucky Stars". I have always said she was the friendliest star I have ever met. Stood there for ages talking and signing autographs. Taking photo's of stars has been my hobby for many years now. I love the ones I have of her.

Loved her singing both in English and French.

l think she is awesome....love her songs.....great rhythm and voice. We all get old.....and she has done well....❤

When I was a young lad in the early sixties, around ten years of age, I was in love with Petula, my first crush!

I first saw Petula live in Pérols Arena in 1962 when I was 17. I married my pied-noir boyfriend in 1965 & became Anglo-French. I still live near Pérols & remember her wonderful singing which accompanies me from high school through Drama School, Uni in Montpellier & my teaching career to retirement. Thank you for being a happy presence & leading me to occasionally burst into song, as do Harry Belafonte, Cy Grant & all the great vocalists of the 60s.

I always loved her music as a teenager. Downtown was my favourite, including all her music. Thanks Petula for your beautiful voice. God Bless.

I disagree with the title about Petula. She deserves more respect then the title gives her. She’s one of of a kind and one of my favorite singers.

I have loved her since I was a child... I first saw her live when she toured Australia at 82!

I had the pleasure to have lunch with this wonderful Lady. She performed on stage in the play Blood Brothers. Then my brother told me that after the play? we will be going to lunch with Her. I thought he had lost his mind. But here she came gave hugs. And we walked to the near by Indian restaurant. It was so surreal.

I just saw her in Goodbye Mr. Chips with Peter O'Toole. Fabulous

Fell in Love with Petula Clark. Saw he on TV performing her big hits. Went out and bought her recordings and of course played them over and over again. She was just beautiful and had so much energy. You could tell that she had a bright and out going personality. She was a genuine person, not what they call a Diva these days. Her wonderful voice was a pleasure to hear. She was so upbeat in her presentation. I wish I could turn the clock back and see her in her heyday all over again. All the best to this beautiful and captivating classy Lady of music.

Less than 48 hours ago, a friend mentioned Olivia Newton John and did I enjoy her music. I said yes. I come from a background of music lovers. I immediately said, “Do you remember Petula Clark?” It is with great joy that I know she is alive and well. I thank her for sharing her talent with world. Petula Clark is a Living Legend. I first heard Monsieur Monsieur play on a jukebox at an Austrian ski resort in 1962 or 1963. I saw her live at University of Notre Dame in 1969 or 1970. Her version of Fool on the Hill was good and memorable. I don't know if she ever recorded this tune. One of the best.
