The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

@@doubleghod NOT A DAME YET. Petula as being honered by HM with a CBE. However if anyone deserves a DAMEHOOD then surely it is Petula Clark. Her AMAZING career span and the indisputable mark she as made on the music-scene she as being a massive part of ABSOLUTELY must count for something. Her AMAZING recordings that have soared to the dizzy heights of Top Ten,while two have made Number One are superb. Her acting ability can never be called into question because she is a tremendously EXQUISITE actress who goes beyond the pale of superb drama and next minute laughter filled jollities. Starring in many films including family folklore escapades enriched melodrama of The Huggets and then came the two very extraordinary classic films. Finian's Rainbow 🌈 and Goodbye Mr Chips. After which came Petula's Stage Musical Career, yet another emence talent that this wonderful and stunningly petite and very beautiful lady can call upon from her vast array of qualities she as been so blessed with. Pet is one of my fabe singers. I wasn't born yet when most of her hits came out, but my parents had all of her albums. It was amusing to have my mothersay"oh, this is 'My Love' and "oh this is 'In and Out of Love'" (That was a Supremes song which I recorded from the radio. [Yes, in 1980 we had FM radio, but most of the pop songs at the time were on AM, like KJR and LG -on THAT statiob, I heard the first "bad" words on the radio from 'High Schoo Confidnetial".)

I TOTALLY AGREE with you Alan Arakelian. She is the stand out singer of the Sixties and it is BRILLIANT that her career is still going strong. Petula as just recorded a song on John Williams latest album and it is a track called "New Flag." She is also about to reprise her Mary Poppins role as "The 🐦 Bird Woman."

The 60’s Mod scene was very cool!!! Pet personified that coolness and her talent was beyond awesome! I loved every song she ever made and finally got to see her ,not once but twice when she came to the States at the age of 85! She was still a consummate entertainer and we all loved being in her presence. So grateful for those concerts! We were with Her Majesty!

Petula Clark had some of the best songs back in the 60s. One of my favorite female singers back then. I'm so glad I was able to grow up with music like hers. Still listen to her music today. COLOUR MY WORLD was my favorite by her she had other good ones. Like the sound of the female back up singers on this song that made this song so good.

Kudos to the composer and songwriter for this masterpiece. It takes creative vision to come up with a unique and energetic song like this. There are songs so unique to a particular artist that no other artist dares to do the cover. Georgy Girl for The Seekers is one example and Color My World for Petula Clark is another.

It fits the guns too. The green gun being "Grass", the yellow one "Sunshine", the blue gun "Sky" and, the white gun "Rainbow" (if you mix all color of the visible light spectrum, it makes white). These my hypothesis names for the guns. The song makes reference of things turning to gold and Bayo's outfit this time around has an abundance of gold highlights. Lastly, I looked up the symbolic meaning behind the bugs that represented on the charms on her guns. They all have positive meaning. The beetle (green) means regeneration, renewal and can be a symbol of the sun. The dragonfly (blue) can be a symbol of self that comes with maturity. They can symbolize going past self-created illusions that limit our growth and ability to change. They have been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. The Dragonfly means hope, change, and love. In Japan, they symbolize courage, strength, and happiness. The blue charm could also be a butterfly, which holds meanings such as good luck, health and prosperity. The ladybug (yellow) means love, prosperity, fortune and protection. And the bee (white), which I'm not super sure if it's a bee since you can only see this charm for a fraction of a second on the trailer, symbolizes brightness, health, personal power, fertility, vitality and community.
