I purchased a machine in December, and now it's February. I have no regrets about this purchase. Previously, I owned a Litter Robot, which I found problematic. It scattered litter up to a 10 feet radius, even on the walls. Additionally, my cat often interrupted its cycle by trying to rebury his waste, leading to poop on the floor. These were significant issues for me with the Litter Robot. However, the PetSnowy has addressed all these problems. Its design, requiring cats to enter and exit through a small entryway, keeps all litter contained. Though, it's necessary to clean the entrance mat to prevent litter tracking. The entrance also prevents my cat from disturbing the machine during its cleaning cycle. If the cat steps on the unit, before getting ont the entryway, it stops, preventing any interruption before the cleaning process resumes. I appreciate several other features of the PetSnowy, including the ease of cleaning-taking literally 1 minutes without any mess in the drawer, which remains spotless. It also comes with an app, which, is not the best. A minor drawback is the machine's inability to indicate the amount of litter and waste in the drawer, but this is a small issue compared to its benefits. I'd say this is the best automatic litter box out bc of the design.

@xJOEYxCOREx Yes, I have no issues, still love it. Only thing is that the draw may get stuck if the waste piles too high, but a little shake every now and then you younshould be good. It'll last a week and a half or so. But I don't regret getting it.

Can you do a maintenance video with cleaning and up keeping for it? That is my main concern about this kind of products

I have this and I had 2 litter robots amd returned both. It's easy to clean, if you empty and fill the litter before it gets low you should have no issues. I love it.

This looks promising. The waste bag system is brilliant. My only worry is durability....the more intricate moving parts a machine has means a higher probability of system breakdown. I would love to hear from someone who's had it for a 6 month period for example. Nicely produced video btw

I have this, it's great. Virtually no tracking, easy to clean. I also had 2 litter robots and returned them . This one is superior.

@k.ambriz9789 I've been using it since December 2023, and it's way better than the Litter Robot. It's easier to clean and has less tracking. It can fill up quickly, but if you shake the drawer after 4-5 days, you can stretch it to a week and a half or longer. I had the Litter Robot for 3 months, and it was always messy after the first use. Litter Robot owners are in denial. My cat doesn't mess with the waste, and everything stays contained. Hands down the best one out there. All the others are open, and they make messes and give the cat access to the bonnet when it's going through a cleaning cycle. You won't be disappointed if you get it.

Cats are nyctalopes, they can see in darkness without issue.

Mine isn’t detecting a cat immediately like yours is. I also did my self check for initial setup wrong I think. Pretty sure they want no litter inside for the self check/first setup or anytime it’s plugged back in to power. It’s way off on my cats weights. That’s when it even detects them going in.

Get it. I got it in December, after returning a litter robot. You won't be disappointed. No mess amd easy to maintain. Like any litter box make sure you don't let the litter go too low and.

It looks high to walk up into, would a senior cat with arthritis be able to negotiate it?

Please compare how well you think it would be easy to clean when taking it all apart. Cleaning the Litter Robot 3 globe is a PITA.

I had a litter robot. I clean the wast in literally less than a minute. And cleaning the entire use also ver simple compared to the liter robot. This is the best one out there. I've had mine for over 6 months now.

Great start up video. Question(s): How has it been so far? Is customer service good? Is customer service geographically local (aka USA)? Over many years we've noticed that fragrances (all plug ins, pouches, even scented litter etc) tend to offend cats noses, if not be quite bad for their health - also they tend to "spray" to cover it... even fixed cats (it's a myth a fixed cat won't spray or only males) - have you noticed this where those pouches go? Leaks? Almost every automatic cat box has some issue with leaks; how is this one? Full drawer snafus? Smearing when drawer is pulled out? App issues? Warranty? Please give more details as all these questions and details make or break an automatic litter box investment. Thanks!

Hey check out my comment above. I go into detail. I got this back in December and think it's great. Customer service, I used them once and they were responsive and solved my issue. Turned out to be my fault. O called a bunch of time bc the machine was getting stuck she walked me through what to do an no issues since. I don't thinknthey were in the US, but she spoke enough English and I called at night. Seems like a small operation bc I called the same pwrsons multiple times. I don't use the fragrance, 1 Yue need to replace q a month and I'm not wasting money on it, 2. I didn't want to discourage my cat from using it bc or the smell but had planned to use it once he got used to it, 3. Never did bc it doesn't need it. It doesn't smell. The app is okay not too many features tells you when the cat is using it by weighing the cat and alerts you when the draw is full. So that bag closes when you pull the draw out and open when you push it in, so no smearing even when it full bc the bag is in the was, but give it a little shake to settle the wast and not issues. Take minutes to change way easier than the litter robot. Idk about the warranty.

Does the bag actually close during use? I think it only closes when you open the drawer.

Looks cool please inform for any flaws... I got the Choubox and that was a huge let down... everyone is having problems, now I'm afraid once get to deal with this kind of stuff

Looks good. Have you noticed any leaking? I have one cat that stands up to pee and I have seen leaking on reviews of some of the auto litter boxes (Pura Max & the Choubox). This looks like it has a similar liner, so worried about that. I have a Litter Robot 3 and would love to get rid of it. It doesn't leak but it is super persnickety and I hate putting the bags in. Thanks!

Have you had them? 1) Major weight inconsistencies for the cats (cat weights are way off and inconsistent) 2) The litter liner leaks a little into the waste bin because the liner isn’t flush with the globe in 2 places 3) All the waste is dumped on the left side of the waste bin so it fills up quickly. Did you have these issues? Would greatly appreciate your honest answers, as I’m wanting to buy but concerned about these things. The person said that otherwise they recommended it, but that those aren’t minor issues. Thanks! :)

No, I have not had these issues, but I wish the litter pan tray had more room at the top when pulling it out. If the tray is full of litter and I pull it out, sometimes it gets stuck from the litter hitting at the top.

How does it compare to litter loo too

With a lot of automatic litter boxes you'll want to turn off the automatic mode to start. Just so they don't get scared by the movement. I have a different box but they took to it in two days. Altho they are not picky.

I'm interested in getting this, but one of my cats is a huge flinger of litter. How easy is it to clean under the ball? Seeing how it is designed and works I'm worried that any litter that gets under there will get into the gears that make the ball roll and break it.

So under the ball is the waste bag so any litter that gets flung will either stay in the ball, fall into the waste bin the next time it cycles, or just go onto the litter mat in the “entryway” type space

How does this compare to other self cleaning, specifically litter robot? I have two kitties and this item seems really nice but is it worth over Litter Robot which already has so much reputable reviews?

It seems a tad bit smaller inside than our litter robot. But the PetSnowy has less litter smell coming from it. Also, I really don't like how the bags fit into the litter robot. This one is so much easier to attach the litter bag and remove it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to refill the deodorant without buying from PetSnowy? They're prohibitally expensive from them given they only last one month.

@@tomaspadron4292 so far I really do like it. It works incredibly well. I have 3 cats and so far have only gotten 1 to use it regularly, 1 only sometimes uses it, and 1 just flat out refuses. Still working on that. But I think the fact that it’s so inclosed freaks out one of my cats. Also one of my cats is huge (like 16lbs) and I think it’s not roomy enough for him. But he has used it. Overall I think it’s great, but I think they’ll take to the Furbulous better since it doesn’t have an enclosed part to go into before actually entering the litterbox. The Furbulous, they just enter directly from the outside. I should be receiving the Furbulous soon so I’ll see!

Take a look at One Guy Five Cats reviews on boxes! So much leakage! I'm curious how yours does with that long term.

@@lashawna5265 not this particular one, but many automatic litter boxes do. So I'm curious if the Snowy will. The reviews One Guy Five Cats does is give perspective on what to shop for. His cats are brutal ! I ended up forking over for the litter robot 4. Very much worth every dollar.

Id get it but one of my cats pees on the very edges of litter boxes. A vertical pee cat? Not sure what you call it. For this reason i have a top entry box. Id love to splurge on this but what if your cat pees high up on the very sides?

How much is it?

What is their customer service like? Hopefully very responsive to the customer needs and service and is there a good return time and policy if the box doesn’t work for your cats size…

No but the design of their bags is what make it easy to clean. I mean I guess you can try, but it may not word right.

How to download and install the app, this does not appear in the product instructions 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

Two questions: does it take crystal litter? And how easy is cleaning the ball inside? I know it’ll dump the litter and is “self-cleaning” but like for wiping poop off the walls and general upkeep. Idk about yours, but our one cat has a bit of OCD-like obsession with the litter box and poop inside it, and if it’s not “organized” how he likes it he makes a mess.

@@aboobadog I ended up purchasing one! It's very easy. The top comes off and there's a big opening for the sphere. I just spray and wipe it down and it's good to go. The whole thing comes apart so it's all very simple (even the little plastic gate inside the sphere). The only issue I've had is the litter gets stuck on the fuzzy cloth used to cushion the sphere against the base located under the sphere. But overall that's no big deal!

@@xJOEYxCOREx So far so good! No complaints! We've actually been considering getting a second one. Only thing to note is that we used corn litter for a bit and that was a BIG mistake. Attracted a whole infestation of maggots. But that wasn't the litter box's fault - I looked it up and that's an issue with all robot litter boxes. So if you get one stick with clay! After we took care of that issue it's been wonderful.

The bag does not close, only if you open the drawer.

You need to do more follow up on the reviews you do and answer questions. Also a more in depth examination of the internals and cleaning of the machine. Your demo was hard to see inside maybe a light to illuminate the inside while it's in action. One Man Five Cats does much better reviews than this but he hasn't done this machine. Up your game.

I had a litter robot and returned it to get this. I don't regret it. I HATE Litter robot. What a piece of crap.

My cat weighs about 7 kg Is he too big for it

Idk Why my cat afraid go inside petsnowy litter box ? The litter box is nice. My cat poop and pee in flour after i switch litter robot 3 air to petsnowy litter box. I dont buy litter robot because alot of trouble with circle and light, 2 years old now not work at all.

I feel like a handle is missing. Rather than that it looks promising.

Do you have to buy their bags or can you use any bags ik you can with the litter robot 4 but this at time of comment is cheeper and seems like it's more effective at stopping tracking and smells which is nice just don't wana be locked into an ecosystem if it can be avoided Also won't be getting it for at least a month or two cause it's still in production but worth it if its better buy overall 🤔

waiting for this answer too, I emailed the company to ask. also don't want to be locked in also in case they ever go out of business in the future and you can't get bags... But following the video, it seems that you could probabaly hack around it, the bags are just specially sized to fit the bin area and have the pre-made holes to lock it into place... could probably use a larger dog waste bag or something as long as you find some way to ensure it stays fixed to the fastening holes?

@Shaun I found a post on a social media site where petsnowy says it can fit regular bags, but it won't do the self seal. The bag is specially for the seal technology but otherwise from what they said generic bags should work lol I also took a Screenshot 😂

The bags have little holes in the corners that attach to the drawer. I'm don't think other bags would work.

Not a fan ofspecially designed bags i'd rather just use a garbage bag but the design of the system seems to utterly prevent this, so if the company ever stops making bags or goes out of business you now have an expensive paper weight instead.

Will this accommodate X-Large cats? Ie: 16-18 lb cast

A very cool and useful product I'm sure but if anything were to ever malfunction and hurt my cats I'd never forgive myself. People put too much trust in electronics and artificial intelligence. Just look at the self-driving cars...it sucks because I could benefit from this. Sticking to biodegradable litter boxes with a litter genie for the time being..

If it helps I've had the litter robot 3 for like 5 or 6 years and it never hurt my cats. The sensors did a good job of stopping when it detected my cats weights. With that specific one though Even if the sensors malfunctioned for whatever reason it wouldn't really hurt them anyways, this one looks like the potential is there. I'm only looking at this right now because my litter robot no longer cycles and I couldn't figure out why 😢

Does anyone know if there is a way to use standard bags with this?

On their indiegogo it said somewhere that some of their testers tried and were able to diy their own bags. I think maybe you'd need to reuse the plastics parts from their bags and then attach another waste bag. That's my guess at least!

What about tossing the waste in another bag an reusing the bag it comes in. That way you won't have to order as many bags. The bags have a seal so they are better.

So many cats are going to hate this. A closed litter with uncomfortable anti tracking floors to walk on to get in and out if there. Some cat parents will inevitably end up with a cat going out of the litter. Let’s be inventive while also thinking about the cat….

Idk how can you even afford this? I would kill to get this, but its 700 bucks! i only get 1,000 a month and after all bills and basic shopping for my apartment and pets, i have like 100 left.... and that as to last me a whole month....
