Well I bought this first then realized it was a raking type and I wanted the rotating cement mixer type. Both cats though used this but I found I had to spend as much time cleaning up after. Construction appeared weak so hopefully it would last a year. BUT then I opted to try the Casa Leo which is much more sturdy construction, nicer app features telling me what's going on, was keeping the litter area cleaner and easier to dispose of the waste. But the Big BUT is cat #2 would not go in it no2, she eventually did no1. We gave it some time but she'd always do no2 in the bathtub. So I finally gave in and put the Elspet back and now she is doing both actions so the Leo in home trial goes back even though I like the Leo better but obviously the one cat didn't for some reason. (the cat that used both is a large cat about 17-18 lbs compared to the second cat which is only about 13 lbs.). So hopefully the Elspet lasts, I wish it had some of the features of the Leo like perhaps having a UV in the disposal tray as that is where most of any smell comes from. I'm puzzled on the one side where it has a digital read out which I think was from a previous version of it that doesn't apply anymore since it's controlled more by an online app as I couldn't see it's real purpose and the documentation doesn't really spell it out well.

Had this and returned it after 3 weeks. If your cat pisses on the side walls there’s a good chance that it will leak underneath so don’t put it on a carpet flooring. Luckily we have a vinyl wood flooring so it didn’t do any damage but you can definitely smell it and it’s more of an inconvenience.

I’ve had this for about a week now and so far so good. So much easier then normal litter boxes. Perfect for my 3 cats. Will definitely have to get another one.

My cat JoJo figured out how to open the back and then popped off that lid with the rubber flaps. My wife was mad and wanted to send it back. But she forgot he is a asshole cat. So I duct tape that lid down.

I really like that this device has a raking mechanism instead of rotating the waste all around the inside of the device. However, I use the Arm and Hammer Slide litter, and I don't see how I could possibly refill the litter! It's not possible to put the whole box in through the front of the robot. Is there any other way to fill the litter tray?

(Solution) Rake Problem: A few people have noted a problem that I was having where the door would close, the machine would go into “clean” mode, the rake wouldn’t work, and then the door would open, followed by the UV light. What worked for me: (1) opened the back to expose the bag area, (2) stuck my arm into the machine from the front and pushed the back door/flap open (i.e., the flap that opens when it dumps your cat’s poopé into the bag). I did this to basically simulate a working machine. (3) I pressed the manual clean button to test it, and then it started working again. (4) close the back door. Thoughts: my hunch is that the back flap was stuck for some reason after I changed out the bag. Hopefully this works for you all!

Simulating ur machine buddy ? Please don't give mechanical advice . Stick to talking sternly to whatever is under your hood so your car will run better. You made these 2 folks break their machine even further .

Which opsions needs to be on all time? First and the last button?

There is definitely a learning curve with this, but the door is shut and I can’t get it open and it says not to push on it because it’s electronic. But I believe the sensors are locked so how do I open the door if I’m not supposed to push on it.

😭my fingers hurt soo badly! I was testing this product before I get my kitty I’m adopting and it was working excellent. Up until I was playing with the sleep mode button and the door was open and the rake was going up and it got stuck….I did all the resets for the rake getting stuck and neither WORKED. So what I did I basically removed the pedestal, the bottom of the litter box, the door opening from the back where the poop gets dumped out and I started to detach the rake from the whole thing itself. I struggled as the rake would land on top of the opening of the door but I was glad they were flexible enough to just move it or adjust them to try to take the rake off. Once that was a success, i just touched the top pressure point of the door and then the rake went all the way and the door released. Let me tell you, I AM RELIEVED THAT I WAS ABLE TO FIGURE THIS ISSUE OUT BUT DAMN BY DOING ALL THIS I HAD A FEELING I BROKE SOMETHINGX but I didn’t. Whew!! Now I know… DONT MESS WITH THE SLEEP MODE. The front door is all scratched due to the teeth of the rake trying to remove it but I got it down! And it still works but man…that was a STRUGGLE! Took me 30 mins to take it off. I still don’t know how to do the whole timer..but I’m scared to now 😭

Help! My buttons aren’t working at all. I have a blue flashing button but won’t let me reset or hold the power button down and switch on. The door hasn’t opened at all either. Just flashing blue light and an annoying beep when I try to press any button.

THE DOOR FOR MY ELSPET KITTER LITTER BOX ISN'T OPENING, CAN YOU HELP ME?

This machine is giving me a headache! The arm/rake is stuck in the down position and it's right in front of the middle sensors. I can't get this thing to reset. I have no idea what's wrong. I tried clearing out most of the litter and wiping the sensors off but it still won't work. Factory reset did nothing either. The machine turns on but it gives a loud beep and then that's it. I tried the app and that didn't do anything for me either. I don't get it. I just bought this thing a month ago and now it's not working. Anyone got help to send my way? I would appreciate it.

Hello!! Any trouble shooting ideas for why the rake seems "stuck" in the up position? This machine worked great for the first 4 weeks and now won't rake. We have tried unplugging it for 10 seconds plus and resetting it to factory setting. When we manually try to have it clean / rake the litter, the lid closes, the light turns to green and you can hear the rake try to move but it doesn't and the lid just opens back up!

My rake was stuck and the machine was constantly beeping. It's really awkward and hard to see, but there is a little latch button inside above and to the left of the door. If you hold the latch down at the same time as the lightbulb button (3rd from the left) it will reset the machine.

I still struggle with odour. But i am also not collecting the bag everyday because I didn't wanna waste the plastic bags. Instead I do it every 2nd day. How often do you take out the soiled bag? Cause daily might not even suffice.

1 cat once a week

Just got one of these. I was going to order another brand but ended up getting this one from Amazon when a seller listed it at $160. To good to pass up and can always return it if it is faulty. Anyway, it arrived and an area of the outer shell had a crack in it (not where it is affected by the litter). Anyway, I contacted Amazon and they gave me a 50% discount. So I ended up paying $85 for it. So far it works and it only took one and half days for my cat to start using it. We will see.

Is there a way to distinguish between the wifi modle and the non-wifi model? Ive just picked one of these up second hand and im having trouble connecting it to the app. The blue blinking light wont appear for me. I suspect i may have got the non-wifi model.

According to the manual you should press the two buttons from left side simultaneously then when the light on the panel is blinking fast it is in pairing mode. Will only work with 2.4 ghz wifi, if you have other smart devices in your home it should work fine as most wifi is dual band these days. The box will work without wifi or the app as well.

Motor is not string enough to scoop the litter when cat pees or when u put new litter. Motor just not strong enough to rake this is a problem

But where is the litter to absorb urine and smells?

Would this be too small for a 15 pound cat? He's a Norwegian forest cat so he's just naturally a big boy

No this can be used by multiple cats as long as the fit in the door because this sit firmly in the ground.

My litter broke after one use, the door is stuck in open position and the scoop is blocked with cat poop in it, it's kinda annoying. Has this happened to anyone else? Any helpful tips?

The app could be set up better, it doesn't give error messages at all, you have to figure out what's wrong

It is only used as an additional scoop tool. It DOESN'T attach to anything. .

My sister has 5 cats and they love it, she is the owner of litter box the only issues she had was scheduling the cleaning cycle but her kid are more tech savvy and they fix this issue.

I got the leo's loo. Two months in and we are loving it. Still having cat litter mess out side but oh well. . Two months in right now. Two cat family, have to take the bag out every two days and that can be a bit smelly. Have figured out how to use trash bags instead of buying their bags as a hack. The monthly deep cleaning can be a bit cumbersome, but that was my first time. Using light weight clumping litter could be a good idea but i dont like the smell. It was the all the good comments for customer service that sold me over the other brand. I got the three year warranty too.

What brand of cat litter does everyone use with this that actually works well?

I just recently purchased this same litter box and it’s been set up since Saturday night. In the description online it says that this litter box can also send me a health report regarding my cat. I’m beyond lost and confused as how to get such reports, can anyone please help me with this? I would be very appreciative!

If your cat is inside and not moving, it is dead. That will be the Health Report.

I do too! NOBODY talks about installing the rake! I see it when he cleans the back. His video by far is the most helpful though!

The manual they give you is not good. It leaves out many steps. I cannot get my phone app to sink with box. Add my cat hates it. I'm at the point now I'm going to send it back. The ads on Facebook are false. You don't plug it in and it starts it's a process. And I had to haul it all the way down the house. It's heavy to have it sit a foot from my router and it still will not upload. Not happy.

what if i opened the cover first by mistake and now I am trying to hit the button it gives a beep noise but without any lights what should I do?

Same thing happened to me. I did a manual reset and got nothing. I had just taken it out the box. I ended up returning it. Going to just keep the regular litter box.

Mine also. The door won’t shut and the rake gets stuck on the door because it’s open. So the rake returns to its position with all the poop. So frustrating

Maybe you can help me. Each time our cat uses the box it flashes green. The only way it will work from that point is if we reset it by long holding the light bulb button for 20 seconds in which it will close the door and scoop the matter into the compartment. We have been doing this for 8 months and ready to trash it. Do you know how we can fix it?

Make sure to clean the sensor and do a factory reset to see if this fixes the issues.

I have had for one week it stop working after 4 days the rake is stuck in the middle and has a flash green Light will not budge how do I get it stared again or is it broken?

I got this machine for my cat, but it's got a big problem. If any pee gets on the side, it leaks, making a mess on the floor. Cleaning it is a constant headache. Plus, their customer service is terrible. They take forever to respond to emails. And to top it off, they charge a crazy $140 to return the item. It's just been a frustrating and regrettable purchase overall.

I pushed the door in by mistake now it tells me pedal open on the app.

The problèm was going worse...i trew it in the garbage. Bought the one on amz with the manual handle on the side for 200$. So far i love it.

This thing claims to fit multiple cats but it doesn't look like it can fit more than 2

Is there a way to get it to not beep whenever they go into it?

@@leina_a5246 i ended up just emptying and cleaning it by freestyling, lol. i scooped out as much of the old litter as i could, vacuumed out the stray bits i couldnt with the small attachment from the vacuum, and then wiped it down with a disinfectant spray inside and some paper towels. it didn’t take too long to do, and it worked for me!

The deep clean is the most tedious but that's like once in 2 weeks for me, depends on how pedantic a person is. Other than that, it should be daily collecting and disposal of collected waste. Assembly took me a while as well but that's partly due to the confusing instructions on the manual and I have no patience
