I think this and Pierce vs Graf in 94 French are the two biggest performances for me. If tennis was like swimming or athletics I’d say this was a WR performance. Graf and Serena are obviously better - but did either of them have a day quite as brutal as this?

Canada is filled with dumb toxic sports fans. Eugenie put tennis in Canada on the map. Before she won Wimbedon juniors nobody had any interest in tennis. There was hardly any media coverage but all of a sudden the networks woke up to tennis thanks to her. When she started winning in 2013 and 2014 this created massive interest in Canada and big investment in tennis across the board. Everybody was talking about tennis and in my club lots of kids signed up. Millions of dollars flowed in to tennis as a result of the success she had and the media buzz. Sure Raonic and Pospisil also helped but these guy never had that much appeal. Yes she made a couple of mistakes but when you are 20 yrs old that happens and the crap other players did is off the charts in comparison. She was the best thing to ever happen to Canadian tennis and you will never see another like that. Bianca is good but is fading fast and needs to find her inner self - blah blah. Fernandez is talented but too small and is not a ball striker like Eugenie and cannot make it over the hump. She has reached her max sadly. Eugenie never had the support these other players have and made it against the odds but her success facilitated all this investment. Eugenie does not get the credit she deserves thanks to dumbass toxic so called fans that destroy tennis. Ask Rebecca Marino about that.

Well, I think I meant in comparison, Petra Kvitova had played Wimbledon finals before, she is much bigger and taller, and she flails her groundstrokes. Also, I can never get it out of my head that some asshole had stabbed her after this match. Humans should not be stabbed. I thought all tennis players were to play compact tennis. I think I was being rude since I basically only played myself friendly tennis so if I was ever up, I don't know, I'd put around and let the other guy back in because I wasn't winning any pro trophies. Also, I am a Genie Bouchard tennis fan since we are Canadian.

@@blackmamba5380 I think I meant it as an insult; it is just unworldly to get those scores in the finals of Wimbledon. With her long limbs, she did not have to take too many steps side to side. Genie Bouchard had no opportunity to win that day. I'd like to change my comment that Petra Kvitova was a full-grown adult and Genie Bouchard was just a kid people are so mean to; no girl likes being hated; I don't want to be rude again so I am calling her a teenager. I personally would trade no Crown for a knife to my back so, I hope that neither are in anyones' future, not that that is acceptable and was asked for but I never get that follow-up out of my mind and I hope no one does it ever again. If Petra Kvitova wins Wimbledon again, I would forget that construction man who I think wanted his money back and should be at least in jail now rotting away.

Well, a construction man a while later from 2014 Wimbledon went to Petra Kvitova's home after this match and ended up stabbing her. That is no doubt totally! Totally! Totally! wrong. A few pros found this match fishy with "the Czech media being too rambunctious" that Wimbledon with their Czech star. If you don't pay the mob, they hurt you like with a stabbing or beating since they can't get their lent money back any other legitimate ways. I think I mean that Petra Kvitova was a woman in 2014 and Genie was just a kid, a teenager and I like Genie Bouchard's style better since it filmed as more compact that day; Petra Kvitova does not flail but she certainly does not hit the ball in that succinct stylish way and Kvitova uses her gangly limbs for greater ground-stroke torque and leverage; you can't teach height but with those scores and at Wimbledon, the winner Petra Kvitova could have afforded to play her groundstrokes compactly which is would be more appealing to me since the final score was 6-3 & 6-0. It was a great performance -- I'd imagine that Petra Kvitova hated Genie Bouchard before the Wimbledon final match.

Maybe I am mad over the result but the dark thought in my mind, I can't get it out is that I'd rather be second at Wimbledon and never be stabbed in any way, shape or form. It is a horrible thought; I hope I get neither and no one asks for that trade or that but looking at those two variables, I'd take the safe of the two and since Eugenie Bouchard is so young and Petra Kvitova played the Wimbledon finals in 2011, that means Genie would logically link her way back to the Wimbledon finals to play another new or old opponent.
