It's no surprise he was such a good goalkeeper. Really intelligent guy. He used to do maths problems before a match to keep his mind sharp 😂
Petr Cech best goalkeeper in premier league history

Alisson needs another league atleast to be in that conversation. Best keeper in the world atm but needs more silverware.

@@Christopher_J not really you cant use that dumb narrative. hes won everything possible if he wins anythin else than thats good but hes already done it. Cant compare on multiple prem titles when other players were in diff eras with diff teams. Like saying aguero aint one of the best cuz he dint win a ucl

My hero since I was a young child. Absolute class on the pitch, absolute class off it and a man of integrity
He was quality last night. One of the best minds in modern football
I love the seriousness with which Cech always approached his work, on or off the field. He’s a top technical/sporting director…something we need back at Chelsea😢

If by "top" you mean "knew how to cook the books" you'd be right.

Is that your indicator of someone who's good at their job? That they're serious. 😂
you have a legend of the club who played for the club for many years and that's a perfect candidate to also work in the structures of the club later...... when Cech left the club recently(as a staff member), I knew the club is going down the drain...... he already saw the "tell-tale sign" of what's coming
Love the insights Petr was giving into goalkeeping last night, great to have his analysis there.
Misread this as bedroom first. Thought sky sports had gone rogue

No, he bailed before the new owners had a chance to look at the books and find those "unrecorded payments" that had been made under his watch...

I loved him since the first time he came to Chelsea. ❤
He's just explained everything wrong with Chelsea right now.
Insightful conversation. Wish BlueCo could have convinced him to stay, certainly would have provided knowledge and experience. I'm guessing he knew what was coming and that he couldn't win the battle alone. Standards have severely dropped at the club, no matter what excuse. Chelsea struggling to remain top half was unthinkable just a few years back. Hopefully the new regime learns. Back to back no Europe would be unacceptable.

Yes, he likely knew that the new owners would identify all the "off the book" payments that had been made while he was running thing's & decided to jump before he got pushed.

Cech has said a lot here, especially the Lampard bit, ex-footballers may be legends as players but not good enough as a football expert, and his words and admissions about the Lampard appointment and his opinions on him really illustrate the bigger point that ex-players can sometimes be out of their depth on outfield footballing matters
Legend
This man gave Big Frank the top job. Bring Big Frank back!!!
Weird seeing him without his hat
Wow Prince William has aged …
and here the media wanted us to believe that Boehly fired Petr
Petr Cech basically went "these foreign managers with their zonal marking and tiki taka just dont understand what it means to hate spurs for a club like Chelsea. Nah give it lamps, proper English manager him" But he did it with a nice European accent so its elevated from seedy pub to sky sports.
You’d think Petr could afford socks
Where’s his head guard ?
He left clearly because he didnt believe in the project, and look what we are seeing
Translation: Cech hired his mate and RA fired an incompetent employee...
Better than Schmeichel

Got bought out by Chelsea for the europa league final. It’s pretty obvious. He left arsenal that same night and joined Chelsea boards the next day.

Does he talk about Chelsea making "off the book" payments? You know, the one's the new owners had to declare to the authorities after finding out about them and finding "inaccuracies" in the accounting? No? Sky shouldn't be giving this cheat a platform unless he's going to talk about it.
