It’s a Cummins and they are not luggers. The older 335s and 350s were 1800 to 2100 motors for sure because that’s were they were designed to make power without high pyro temps . I started out with 220s than ran turbos on them and that made them 262s then 335 to the 400 big cams and then to KT 600s in my trucks . Switched to 3406 cats when they came available and now I’m running 800 hp C-16s . The fun I have . Thanks for sharing. Ht60 is a good turbo for a big cam. Once you get over 600hp they will only run about 1700rpm. The downside is HT is for high torque, and that 855 will run and stay cool under 1500rpm which will crack pistons. The inducer is the same size as the HT3b. And fyi the 855 and N14 are very dissimilar aside from 3 cylinder heads and cubic inches. Cut the end off the 3B and weld it on the 60.

Love the ole’ big cam III, but I am becoming more partial to the n14. Got to be careful thinking the block and heads are the same, as I found they are very similar but not the same. Probably one of the best upgrades I’ve see is going with the air to air set up for that motor. I have a big cam III on the bench getting ready to do an overhaul, and finishing up and out of frame on an N14. Looks like your is to be a reman big cam, unless someone at some point put the adapter for the extra oil filter. Dog gone fine looking 359 Pete you put together there.

Updating to the later lower press fit liners is a worthwhile upgrade on the mechanical if you are running higher horsepower helps keep the liners from walking around causing head gaskets to fail if your running higher than stock horsepower. Has no affect on how the engine runs but it was a update that was good for reliability. If you're saying the n14 is less reliable. Any time you ad more systems (ecm/stc ECT) your introducing more failure points.
@shanewalma9066
