But the problem is its very difficult to convince Arrogant people like CNBC and the rest of them including people in the streets that don't know Anything obout financial operations. The only other 2 person that predicted the same as you (the collapse) was Michael Hudson and Noriel Robiny. I Remember the all thing and all other so called experts were in denial that there is any problem with sub prime lending. So you are right again and we believe you 100 %. @@TonyL-gw4qx Fair point and interesting theory. Also considered a similar bear case. I think we need more than a focus on the chartist mindset and seeing lines go up or down. There are some businesses that are quality busineses, and they will be here to stay if there is no unexpected headwind like civil unrest or boycotts. There are a lot of pension funds that need to protect their pensioneers liability and governments that will want them protected or else the people suffer and their votes may be swayed away from those who won't help. Also, the FEDs mission really is to soften the bust process here... The best pension strategists will likely try to just beat inflation and stick to bonds but also build a defensive equity portfolio as they rotate into sectors like consumer staples. So, price wise, those may do well, but also business wise, people will still go to Walmart, Costco (maybe!), McDonalds, your Bank, etc. so the the underlying businesses do well. Though that doesn't mean we're not in for a correction. Its just hard to patiently bet against the FED. We're in uncharted territories because retailer may build enough momentum to move the markets in ways that our valuation methods do not account for. Also, we have Q/E and low rate environment affecting everything too. Def on the same team you are... just wished this was simpler haha.

Art Laffer is such a hypocrite. He mocked Peter for his prediction of the crash then after the crash Art goes on the Bill Maher show and acted like he's the one who predicted it and when bill asked art if he paid the penny for losing the bet art had the nerve to say no and justified by saying the statute of limitations ran out.
