Peter, after watching this, I bet you were shouting I.F.T.Y.S. when the 2008 crisis eventually hit. Its very difficult to have an opposing view to the herd, and shows a strong sense of character to maintain it, despite what the critics said.

I was also one of those who made fun of this interview. And I ended up in bankruptcy. Today, December 2023, I realized how wrong I was.

Whats gets me the most is not that they disagreed with him but how sure of themselves they were.

Peter, I have to laugh at Ben Stein recommending Merrill Lynch stock saying its a well ran business. If that were true, then why did Bank of America acquire it, which BofA couldn't really afford? I remember in mid 06 being a project manager for a big construction site development company. I was stressed out managing 4-7 multi-million dollar real estate development and industrial warehousing projects all the time. The average project site was roughly 50 acres consisting of housing sub divisions, condos and apartment buildings. I kept saying to everyone there were more homes than people to buy them and it can't last. What threw me for a loop though was all the illegal Mexicans coming across the border and getting minority type housing loans. As for Bank of America, I live in Ohio and BofA doesn't have any locations or offices in Ohio. So after they folded and went to Uncle Sam for a bail out, I was taken to court for $25K defaulted loan that wasn't mine. BofA tacked on an extra $25K. If anyone doesn't believe me, Google Bank of America Class Action Lawsuits. If you were or still are a customer then you know what I'm talking about. In short BofA got $65 BILLION in bailout and BofA began ripping off the America consumer to pick up the tab for them trying to buy Merrill Lynch. Although it was a lengthy 5 year legal battle, I came out on top. However when I seen and personally witness Uncle Sam not allowing big business to fail for poor and over blown business practices, I said grab your ass as we are in for a rough ride! You nailed it Peter and while I am not rich just yet both business should make me a millionaire in the next couple of years before the next big bubble pops... AGAIN., I LOVE recession as it gets everything back to realistic values! I purchased a $650K home back then for a mere $165 as well as I have some gold, silver, stocks, real estate in my growing portfolio.I started two business back then,a consumer protection firm and on in the health and fitness industry. Both are doing well and a business advisor who she is helping me to the next level of wealth recommend this video to me as well as your books! My hair is growing back and I am finally living the life dream of and stress free! Thanks Peter!
