When this film was released I had a friend who was a comic nerd and had read all superhero comics out there. And he told me he didn't like this scene because in the original comic Spiderman turned evil when black, whereas in this scene he just turns into an ahole with that dancing.

It was a very big tonal departure from the previous movies, that's not even debatable. I hated it, and so did most people. But all this time removed, I don't take it so seriously. I can enjoy it for what it is.

This scene was quite literally ahead of its time. I remember when it came out most people hated it, but now it is considered absolutely iconic.

This scene deserves its flowers because the vibes are absolutely unmatched. The pelvic thrusts, the SLIDE?! Peter saying "shalom?" Ursula happily feeding Peter cookies and scurrying to get milk? Man I remember everyone absolutely bashing the scene and the whole movie back in 2007 when it released. Weird how all the time that’s passed has actually made people like the movie so much more.

I don't get it.

Watching this as a kid was enjoayable, right, but have you ever had that feeling when something remains with you forever and you simple don’t know why? Well, 16 years after I saw this scene that special feeling remains! The amount of times that I visualised this scene in my head after watch it for the first time was unbelievable and now watching it again after so many years with so many people elevating it, it explains that “special feeling” that I felt on the first time! Simply iconic 🤷🏻‍♂️
