@@Gregorydrobny - Yes. You do wonder how they get so little notice… and why Peter’s bands aren’t discussed as the incredible lineups that they are. His bands have always been unbelievably good.

He still can hit the high notes and sounds as good as he did in the 80s - incredible musician

I can’t emphasize enough how well this concert was filmed and edited. Beautiful shots, showing the right musicians at the right moment. As for the performance it’s just mind blowing!

Too much beautiful this song

Went with my wife to Birmingham from Copenhagen last friday in november '14 and saw the Back to Front Concert. Great concert - great city - great weekend. Peter Gabriel bridge to so many musical universes and make it grow all the more larger.

As if singing isn't enough, he has them playing instruments, too. And not tambourine, either. They seem to be musicians in their own right.

Es uno de mis temas favoritos que llegan al alma, y me conmueve, pasan los años y lo sigo escuchando. Esta version es maravillosa, un Manu y Tony soberbios, Gracias Sr Peter Gabriel por su musica. Recuerdo en 1994 show en el Estadio de Velez-Argentina, dia horrible, cielo con ganas de llover y yo desde la platea a los gritos pidiendo Lluvia Roja!!!, no era un tema q hacia en vivo, por eso me facina esta version.

Manu is one of the greatest drummers in the world but to be honest I like it just as it has been working in this song, too variations sometimes striven, as he played the song in Modena in 93 is something else!

I can see the drummer is very talented but to my taste (as a professional musician) he took up too much space in the mix...like it was a bit of an ego trip. Of course Mr. Gabriel must have agreed to it - he's the boss after all.

Such a great song and great musicians! I just wonder, if the cymbals are bleeding into other mics, causing a rather unpleasant sound that can't live up to the greatness of this performance.

not a comparison, Manu is, objectively, one of the best drummers to have ever held sticks. The other guy filled in while Manu was busy.

Part 2

The ONLY really cool thing that has ever been done with the KINECT. ;)

His voice is shot. Have seen him a bunch but his voice is now reedy.

Love this tune, and the band sounds great, but I'm curious about the drum mix... everything sounds clean and huge, but the cymbals sound super smeary and almost like they have a phaser on them or something. I wonder if this is intentional?

Miles Gibbons I noticed this when it first came out. Not sure what they were thinking doing the cymbals like that... doesn’t sound like previous live versions or the album.

I was just about to say the cymbals seem overbearing in this performance. Don't know whether Manu laid it on too thick or the mix was bad, but yeah, I totally agree.

and in addition to the two backgrund singers - i think, that both are so beautiful, special and great - the whole band is so great and my special of them is manu :-) - NO MANU, i'm not a gay - i only don't no a better drummer than you :-P
