Searcing this video after see anggun interview with one Of Indonesia TV Anggun said , when they practice for this performance , she nervous .. coz she adore him alot. But the show is Perfect . Anggun stage act is one and only,her body language on stage is special .. not duplicate other Singer I adore her too much

I've never even heard of her. I just received these videos on a dvd from a trading group I belong to. Thought there may be many others who would like to see this.

First of all the best version of this is the original. No one will ever be able to touch Peter and Kate Bush. Peter was in his prime and his voice was best then . and Kate's voice was AMAZING., perfect for this song. Any other version pales in comparison. Second of all if you know anything about Angun you know she just exudes sensuality, a huge talent in her own right ,but very different in style to Kate Bush. I like that she sings it her way, and doesn't try to be someone else.

Angun.. Whatever her name is fits the bill for a Kate Bush/Paula Cole fill in, but really, can there be a fill in?! Those two absolutely killed it on this song especially Paula Cole. I thought she was better then Kate honestly, she was AWESOME! Her voice is like an angels.

Lighten up on Angun. I got her first album like 7 years ago and it was very good. She is extremely talented. Don't Give Up is very hard to "sing". It's more drama than vocal. Angun is pure class. Check her out on her own stuff. Snow on the Sahara is a good place to start - and her cover of Life ON Mars from Bowie.

In the choruses Anggun should have used her beautiful falscetto. Everything else she did is great!

well another great live performance by anggun and peter gabriel. she has an adorable sensuous voice without being sultry, and his voice just match the song. Peter as the despair ones, and anggun as the motivator. I also like her performance with duo Italian on video posted at youtube by named Anggun C:) what a high voice, magnificent!

she sings the song...w/ passion...w/ firmness...and i think she does just fine....its not the wispyness of Paula or kate...but she brings such a deep soul to the moment....maybe....its her body language.... but, i think she sings it like a young woman would...sing it to her ailing lover....who is depressed....and her voice is excellent.... i think perhaps, too many, are wanting both Peter and Paula to be young again...no doubt...the originals are classic...but this is no mean rendition...

Never heard of Angun either but she is fine. I am researching all the versions as I plan to do this number with my wife and just guitar. My favourite rendition is Willie Nelson and Sinead O'Connor. They drop part of one verse and sing the bridge as a duet. The worst version is the one with Tracy Chapman who sings in her boots!

I liked this song but I thought Peter Gabriel tried way to hard to be sexy. lmao.. just kidding. I don't think Anggun tried to be sexy I think she was just being herself. It just so happens that she is sexy. I also think it was just two artists enjoying their craft. We don't see that enough anymore.

Anggun is doing really well! nothing wrong with her voice, she has disctinctive and has her own performance. Her soundtrack for transporter is excellent! I'm musician, i know which one is good and bad! When Anggun duo with Nadiya, Nadiya voice is terrible, Nadiya has high pitch also, but she doesn't have style and after while you listen to her voice, you will get bored.

Peter still sounds awesome singing this but Yes Kate bush is definatly the best out of the duets Ive seen him with. Ane brune was good as well but Cole and Angun didnt do it justice sadly. Good voices for different songs for sure but just not this one.

Anggun does fine, I dont really like any of the other female vocalists they do not do justice to this song, now if you want a voice Ann Wilson of heart or Gretchen Wilson who sounds like Ann would do this song great justice, but this is just my opinion. everyone has their own taste in singers.

Honestly, I think Anguun is getting it all wrong. This is a song about a man i despair, and his wife supporting him. She is too occupied with showing of.

probably you mean the rhythm section... bass and drums... the original version was entirely supported in the incredible bass playing of Tony Levin. In this version is a bit weak and in some moments the congas sound a bit out of the emotion, I would said off-tempo. For a female singer is very difficult to reach the level of Kate Bush... probably Paula Cole was the one who do this better.

At the risk of sounding like Emperor Joseph II in "Amadeus", Angun puts in "too many notes". A truly great singer can break your heart with one note - a mediocre one has to try to disguise their mediocrity with filigree (see: "American Idol") Besides that, her breathy, moaning take and writhing around, her version sounds like she's urging a lover not to climax too soon. There's a time and a place for that - just not during this song.

Yes, l agree...too much theatre in the vocal inflections and stage movements.

The song is beautiful, but her voice is not the accurate for it. I mean, it's a very delicate, sweet and fragile song, and she is singing like Celine Dion. I'm not saying she's bad; it's just that this song is not for her.

Sorry, this performance wasn't too good. I don't like the arrangements, it's not enough harmony. And the version with Kate Bush is 10 times better. Peter Gabriel is still good, but not his best performance. He is a bit off-pitch some times.

agree, anggun has a good voice, i love all her songs, but not this one. she lost the pitch in this song and it sounds really terrible. Allez Anggun, tu dois pratiquer plus!!
