the fact that they visualized the angels as warriors is so empowering. angels ARE warriors.

The entire repentance arc of St. Cornelius the Centurion was absolutely moving in this series. I don't tear up easily but, Dear God, the way it was portrayed struck right to my core! Bravo!

I love this series. Too bad they ended it.

I always look for bits an pieces that are missing in any kind of Biblical story telling. It is often the important things left out that are the ones compromising the Gospel. Read the text from Acts 10 again and see what is being left out. Will this compromise your understanding of the salvation message? Anything else?

The way they had portrayed Conreliud as such a brutal, didn't ruthless Roman soldier compared to the just, noble God-fearing Roman that the Bible describes him as was certainly an issue for me, as I'm sure it was an issue for many of us who watched this show. But in the end, no pin intended since this was the last episode, it all led to a beautiful turning point where Cornelius was so ashamed and guilty of everhthing he was doing,in this show, he was persecuting the Disciples homsf, so it would've been even more justified for them to be skeptical and untrustintg of him. And I've always loved Will's portrays in these scenes, just the way that his facial expressions spell out thr answer to "Hkw is Joanna?"

That salvation through Jesus Christ is available to all, not just the Jews. This story is from Acts 10 In his vision Peter saw several animals, these animals were considered unclean to Jews. But told him in the vision that he, Peter, should consider anything that God created as unclean. During this time Jews looked at non-Jews as unclean. In Acts 10:34, Peter begins to understand that God doesn't show favoritism to but accepts people from every nation who fear him and do what is right.

The show had visions (no pun intended) of greatness in Sauls conversion and subsequent VERY real depiction of what being saved is; however, the depiction of Pilate is not at all accurate according to the resources we do have. I wish we could have honest depictions of the environment that surrounded Christ without offended the ppl in charge of “green-lighting” the show. Anyone who depicts Pilate and Rome as the Bible does literally ends up in the position of a very notable believer. If we get the Gospel wrong we have a warped view of our Savior, and that’s not good.

Quite upset that the most moving part of the scene is consciously omitted in this video capture. I don't know for certain who the woman is intended to be. Please remind me. Cornelius the Centurion, under strict orders, strangled her friend (recently converted to Christianity) to death, for the unpardonable crime of being a Christian servant in the household of the Roman Prefect. So it is therefore the single most improbable scene that could ever take place in any film. She asks Cornelius with great trepidation what had become of her friend, and as Cornelius breaks down, sobbing in obvious anguish, she then embraces and comforts him, as she says: "You killed her, didn't you?" In combination with the soul-stirring soundtrack, it was the most unexpected thing one could ever witness. You're left with the realization that no sin, no matter how great, can not be expunged by divine grace offered to those who are sincerely repentant and ask for Christ's / God's forgiveness. Remarkable! I've looked everywhere for it, but for those few seconds of film, I have to rent the entire series.

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38! Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life. That's what Acts 2:38 is. It harmonizes with Matthew 28:19, and all the other salvation scriptures. We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOTH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ paid the full price for our salvation. If we refuse to come to him and obey Acts 2:38 as they did, how shall we receive his salvation? Noah believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN WORKED OR OBEYED TO BUILD THE ARK TO BE SAVED. LOT believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN OBEYED AND LEFT SODOM. This is why Jesus said, He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. We must believe and obey Acts 2:38. All scriptures have to harmonize together.

?!? i thought it was PAUL who said to CORNELIUS that baptism is absolutely not necessary. Thus Cornelius was never baptized. How can Catholics & Ana-Baptists have completely different versions of the same event?
