Pete died today. I played the living shit out of him when I was on-air, and very much loved his work. His death will affect me greatly, and I will never forget him.

I used to own both Pete Shelley's first 2 solo LP's from circa 1982-83 on vinyl. They are full of great tunes that bring great feelings...helped me redeem myself after tragically divorcing the love of my life! Pete is s great philosopher able to convey life's heartaches and mystery deftly in music you want to hear again and again.

Pete Shelley's solo career was a big change from his Buzzcocks days I got to experience both, since I dig both punk and newave,I played the shit out of Shelley's XL1 album he put out in 1983, which had the instrumental version of this awesome tune that me and my friends would trip out to.

I still have the original EP, it had a computer code on it, I think it was for the Sinclair ZX computer. I remember I was quite blown away by the drum sound, which was sensational for these days (it was a Linn drumcomputer).
