Yeah they paved their way they didn’t even see a trend and follow it they MADE their own lane, nobody in America has even done this at least not this we’ll not even close, and the ghost writing couldn’t be less relevant if you gave every single person who hates on them their verses written out, and asked them to spit over the beat none of them would do it half as well.

So true. Basically every big mainstream artist out there has a whole team around them to help create the 'product'. Am I really to believe that all these rappers write all their own lyrics? That's if their lyrics are anything to write home about to begin with. So yeah, who cares how much of it they write themselves. Pete and Bas as rappers fucking slap, harder than most. And Handsome Dexter delivers on the beat. The videos are a bit of a gimmick but it's not done cynical, just good fun.

Personally I don't care either way. Also, there is a black guy in their group (I believe he's Albert Allen, he has a verse in their window frame cypher) and I would say the same thing about him, and or any of the old boys in their group. @Lonewolf2702 Yeah pretty much, personally pre-2020 i thought Pete was clear of Bas, he had the catchier bars and is more diverse with what he'll rap about imo but since the Lightwork Freestyle Bas has just been shelling tracks with mad flows. His verses on the old estate and golf are still some of the best i've heard in drill.

Actors don't write their own scripts. They have playwrights/screenwriters. Whether Pete & Bas have ghost writers/song writers or not you can't fault their incredible flow and delivery, just like you'd appreciate an actors performance. Legends.

I mean, I obviously want to believe, but it still remains that we've never actually seen them properly rap live either... The few actual videos of them live are heavily carried by the backing track, and every music video of theirs is heavily edited to work around them not being able to lip sync more than ~a bar or two at a time. I personally think it's pretty safe to assume they don't actually rap the songs either, if I'm being honest...

@@GoodMorningJoel It's really possible that they have to do some careful recording in the studio and they just literally can't do it live. There are way, way too many hidden references and old-head British slang. Someone also brought up Frank and Maury once but if you listen to these guys the pronunciation is far too authentic to be some Americans pretending to be Brits (on Plugged In the way Bas says "I got an head like a builder's brick" isn't something an American would know to do).

Their bars and flows are very visual. Easily the best duo and rappers out right now. Every time you hear them you can hear their skill, and hearing their bars. I believe they write their rhythms cause you can't say certain stuff that they talk about. It just wouldn't come out right like watching Chinese movie in English Dub you can see it's off. Not these guys it's very genuine. Big fan from the US.

I've been checking for this reaction on the daily ever since Walkz put his video up. We've come a long way since 'Do One' and I really admire the consistency 👍 Edit, because I didn't get the chance to fully watch this yesterday. The reaction was on point as always, I agree with other comments that it's good to see Pete have more bars and switch up his flow in this one, but i'm also glad to finally see a reactor comment on the fact that Bas was mainly going for swag with his delivery. They both came in something different, until the back to back, and it worked perfectly. Pete & Bas deserve all the praise they get, there's no doubting their talent. They also make me feel less self conscious about the music I like. In the 90s it was all about Rave, then Trance for me, and I was younger than everyone making music. From the mid 2000s to 2020ish my interests switched to Grime and Trap, and suddenly I was old compared to the people making the music. Now I can appreciate Pete & Bas, and no longer feel like i'm getting ever closer to some kind of cut off point, where I won't be allowed to like contemporary music anymore, because I exceeded the age limit. They give me a lot to look forward to, and I hope Lee continues reacting to their stuff. He's definitely one of the best
