You can tell they write their own bars when you see them in interviews. They are really quick witted and humorous and make each other laugh. You can tell they would just vibe off each other writing the bars, especially when they trade lines.

Song writers like you and Scuderia Skoot instantly know that you can't rap other people's lyrics with that level of precision! If they had ghost writers then they would have to be almost as old as them to be including the amount of old school lyrics that Pete & Bas flow, so why wouldn't they be writing their own lyrics themselves? They already admit that they get help with the new slang from their grandchildren, but because they are pensioners a lot of people find it hard to believe this. 🐐🐐

Not just that; but if you were ghost writing for somebody else, would you give them all of this fire? The bars in this track are sick and their delivery of them is on point. No way somebody else is writing that for them. Maybe giving pointers on new slang terminology but that's about it.

I think Pete is 70 and Bas is 74 now. They met later in life and became friends. Bas was a bare knuckle boxer and a lawyer at one point. Bas is musically inclined and can play just about anything 🎹🎷🎺🎸🥁 Pete was introduced to grime/rap when his teen granddaughter kept playing that type of music in the car with him and he got to liking it.
