OMG I am a big PSB fan but I have not heard this song in YEARS.. I forgot all about it!! This gets me excited to get back in the clubs for sure, hahaha!

This is the first time I have seen/heard Chris doing any vocals on a PSB song/video. Very interesting video. Don’t worry Bryson - you will be wealthy one day as you are going to be a star! ⭐️🌟 Another good one. Take care.

This song is named for the Paninari, an Italian youth subculture of the 1980s. The original Paninaro was the B-side for their 1986 single Suburbia. It's quite different but there is a (cheap) video as it was released as a single, but only in Italy. There is also a longer version available on their 1986 remix album Disco. The latter is probably my favourite version. The 95 version was released partly to publicise their double disc B-side collection Alternative but did not appear on it, although the original did.

And PSB Miracles and Leaving. 👍

The extended version is brilliant

This is their most clubby club song ever. they went straight for the euphoric club anthem here. They can make any kind of song from intelligent ballads to club bangers.

When I first saw a musical video on TV, I was shocked))) But the music dragged me to watch the video again)

Mitico Paninaro!

I know the song is very specific and the music video makes an impact, but you can't listen without feeling like getting up and dancing. One of my favorites from PSB, so much so that I use it as a ring tone for my cell phone, since I know it's my phone and it's ringing and not someone else's when I'm in the room.

Thanks for keeping the PSB exploration going. According to Neil, this video is them deliberately trying to be homoerotic. Yes, the Domino Dancing video was not intended to be homoerotic. I have no reason to doubt his word. Sometimes, some of the best art is created with other intentions. Life is what happens to you while you were making other plans.

Well that production was slick, the track was awesomely sick, and the visuals were extraordinarily entrancing. Undeniably a brilliant display of artistry. Loved your reaction and concise overview of this song and accompanying video, as usual!

This version of the song is potentially (because you never know with Chris because he’s so private) about someone who was close to him and who passed away of AIDS in 94, Peter Andreas. He was really cute and can be seen in the video for “Jealousy”.

I'm not sure you are "innocent" Bryson! You should try PSB Go West, an absolute jewel from my clubbing days in 1994.

Neil Tennant was normally the lead vocalist on PSB's songs, but Chris Lowe did the honors for this one. I'm surprised that there's no Blondie on your channel; they were one of the most iconic bands of the late 70's - early 80's. Madonna, Joan Jett, and Lady Gaga (among others) have all identified Blondie vocalist Debbie Harry as a major influence on their work. @@PancakeMarshmallowDude I should have known that an aficionado such as yourself would never have overlooked Blondie! Videos taken from the official Blondie YT channel can definitely be an issue, although from what I've seen on other reactor's channels they're more forgiving if you put the link to the original video in the description. Many of their vids are also available from non-official channels, such as the one I linked above for "Your Presence".

Please consider reacting to Pet Shop Boy's "Liberation" or "It always comes as a surprise". The former has an awful video (lots of computer graphics animation) but the music and lyrics are incredible.

now imagine 17 year old me, closeted gay boy literally trying to hunt this video down on MTV Europe. Back then, there was far less representation available - let alone men being seductive with intent in a way obviously not targeted at women. And no way to get a video on demand... Try reacting on something I stumbled upon by chance somewhere around that time - actually in the rummage sale at a local discounter: A cassette single of Holly Johnson's "Legendary Children" - a bold thing to own while in the closet....

The original is so much better, but this was a good remix

"Paninaro" is an Italian word used in the 80s, it refers to those guys who frequented sandwich shops ("panino" in Italian) and dressed in a particular way. Neil Tennant was impressed with these guys and celebrated them in this song.
